None, just like some other guys here. 10 is reserved for a PERFECT game. Never played something which i deemed THAT good. Just like i never gave any movie a 10.

I, for example, have voted on 725 movies so far in the IMDb, only 9 (and a few series) so far i have voted to a "9".

10 is something extraordenary. The best game/movie you will EVER see in your life... and maybe not even in your lifetime.

Well, but i guess TF2 would be closest. Put a LOT of time into it.

We've seen many games awarded this GTAIV, Mass Effect 2 etc. but honestly, the only games I've ever played that had NO faults, were Uncharted 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Both had [/i]unbelievable[/i] stories, great graphics and gameplay.

Yeah MGS4 has longass cutscenes, but for people like me who hadn't played any MGS game (heck I didn't even know who the hell Solid Snake was o_O) they explain everything well enough for me to understand enough to finish the game feeling satisfied.

PS. GTA IV is definitely not a 10 for me in case you want my input, its great, but I'd give it a 9 for not delivering on the fun factor thats there in the other GTAs (coughsanandreascough)
Mass Effect 2 and Halo 2, end of line
Really? Halo 2? I found that game worse than Halo CE, sure I had fun playing local MP sat my friends house but I found the story mode difficulty poorly made (finished it on legendary like all the other Halo games but I literally had to completely the flood levels by running away the entire levels because the flood could gangrape you very quickly if you tried fighting), and the checkpoints had a bad habit of saving when I was about to die :/

Nothing is perfect. 10/10 means that you find the game an absolute masterpiece and its positives heavily outweigh the negatives.

I really enjoyed dragon quest IX my only gripe being the swapping maps thing because i live in the middle of nowehere. Thats just a sideline tho so that doesn't bother me too much.

Definately the game of that genre I have most enjoyed since ff7

Any games that are a 10/10 are games that are immensly fun and replayable.
Such games are:
GTA 4
Gears of War
Bulletstorm...although this one is just for shooting people in the balls and making them cry for mercy >:D
Starcraft 2

To name a few.

Call of Duty used to be one for me but I've gotten bored with them since one comes out every year and it starting to get old. Sure, I have alot of fun for a few months but then they get repetative.

I don't really consider them 10/10 as there is no truly perfect game but if I had to choose the closest to I would say Civilization 4 and Warcraft 3.

Eh, that's what a 8 and 9 is for, in my grading. You can't just give a 10 lightly to something. My opinion of course. I just don't like someone having a LIST of the "10's"; It cheapens the effect somehow. You can't trust a critic when he doesn't differentiates ESPECIALLY at the upper and lower spectrum. Someone giving out 10's and 1's... meh... not my thing.

hmm...

The only game I played that I feel is worthy of a perfect 10 is "The World ends with you". That game gave us so much freedom, and played so well, and had such a fun story....MAN that game was good!

Although there are TONS of games in my 9 to 9.9 range...
Like Tales of Symphonia, Okami, Shadow of the collosus, Pheonix wright, Sonic colors, Sonic 3...*voice trails on for at least 5 more games*.

PS: 0_o What the...I swear my captcha just said "altman". ...Are these captchas...made by unitologists?!

EDIT: BTW, I absolutely HATEHATEHATE number scores. They mean different things to everyone, and are thus so hard to quantify. I like to use a simple scale of "Avoid - Decent - Solid - AMAZING" when grading games.

For me:

Spyro: Year of the dragon- simply because it's the game that got me into gaming, and nostalgia triumphs over everything.

Grim Fandango: Simply put, the best adventure game ever made.

Deus Ex: Masterpiece

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Shenmue - Beautiful, Evocative, Deep, Moving. A true classic.
Okami - Buy it! If you don't have a PS2 (assuming that's even possible), get one. You won't be dissapointed.
Breath of Fire IV - A gripping story, innovative battle system, and a quickly lovable cast.

All also have some of the most spectacular soundtracks in gaming.

Perfection is impossible. Other than that, Saints Row 2 and Katamari Damacy, and Half Life 2 are my masterpieces.

Thats exactly why I only find Uncharted 2 and MGS4 to be deserving. To me, a 8 or 9 is a game like Gears of War or Killzone. They do a lot of things well but don't deliver really well on what they wanted to do.

For Gears its the bad narrative and disappointingly bad boss battles, and for Killzone its the (also) bad narrative and inconsistent pacing (in KZ3 they try to make the game cinematic but keep on stopping the action to show you a cutscene of the main character doing something you could easily be doing in game) Both games are excellent however, but its that there flaws are very noticeable. (In Uncharted 2 I couldn't help but admire the excellent writing and character reactions and animations)

Red Dead Redemption
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Animal Crossing DS
Pokemon Gold
Super Mario World

Games which come close include: Uncharted 1 + 2, Kingdom Hearts 2 (would be a 10 if i didn't find it so damn repetitive) and COD: Modern Warfare

God, I must really be an old fart. Either that, or my tastes are just completely different.

No actually perfect games, per se, though the ones that really come to mind that are masterpieces are...

Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy 3
LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete
LUNAR: Eternal Blue Complete

And, although I haven't played them yet, I imagine Persona 4 and, soon to be released, Catherine would get a nod toward that list.
