I was thinking the Night Angel Trilogy definitely! Really well made books and they could be a great film/game. Although if it was a game, people would just call it an Assassin's Creed rip-off...
I actually bought the book on the assumption it was an assassin's creed cash in. But it was so much more!

If there is room for Call of Duty and Battlefield, Assassin's Creed can share the shelf with Night Angel.

The Odyssey, I'm very surprised that no one ever decided to make a film out of this ancient epic. A video game, if well done, would also do justice to this story and I would most likely prefer a video game adaption to a film.

If comic books were allowed I would say Superman: Red Son. But i would say that I would enjoy a good 1984 movie

Night Angel Trilogy for either a game or a movie.

Dresden Files: Same.

John Dies at the End: Game. Movie's coming out sometime in the future, which is gonna be (hopefully) amazing.
They actually did a TV show for Dresden Files which I thought was really well done. Sadly though it only lasted on season.

I would really like to see the Night Angel Trilogy done in a movie. I think the story would fit well in movie format.

I'm still hoping for Ender's Game though. It was in preproduction for awhile but Orson Scott Card pulled it when he realized he couldn't do it right at that time. Which I'm very happy about because if and when we get it, it'll be done right.

One other book series that i would love to see in Movie/show Format would be The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. The characters and story was just amazing.

Eragon should be turned into a GOOD movie. Not tht p.o.s. with a dragon (with feathers?!?) in it.

Without a doubt. More Durzo is always welcome.

The Black Company, Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels series, and The Marla Mason series would all make pretty good movies in my opinion.

Man I hate to break it to you but Eragon was a mediocre book at best. I really don't think anyone could turn it into a good movie considering the material they have to work with.

Garth Nix: Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen
That would make an awesome Steampunk+LOTRish movie.

The Crystal Shard, Streams of Silver and The Halfings Gem by RA Salvatore. If they got the Lord of the Rings treatment then this would be a epic fantasy movie series.

Actually the first AC is based on a book called Alamut. I think that it's the only famous book from my Country. :)

Possibly the Hyperion/Endymion series by Dan Simmons for a movie or series.

Armor, by John Steakley would make a great game given the right development. Splitting action sections between Jack Crow and the recordings of Felix, with first-person scenes for Felix's memories outside of the armor. I also envision a kind of free-flowing mix of first-person and third-person action depending on vicinity of enemies.
That is one scary idea. I would definitely like to see it happen.

Honestly the Hunger Games series as a movie or game isn't that good of an idea.(Considering that imagination aids some of the images, and your head will have better CGI than Hollywood ever will) But the Hunger Games themselves as a video game could be a good idea. Create your own character to compete in the Hunger Games with other players,if you saw all the things that happened in the books, you know this would involve teamwork, betrayal, and more than just brute force. I think it could be refreshing to see this concept instead of just another Call of Duty or Halo.

Personally, I've had enough of my favorite book series mangled in transition that I kind of wish the rest just stayed as books.

The Inheritance Cycle (Eragon in layman's terms)...
They NEVER made a movie or game based on that book.

They actually did take so many "artistic" freedoms that it was an entirely different story all together. Other than the names I don't think a single facet of it remained untarnished by their horrific alterations.
Seriously, did they have zero knowledge of how continuity works? I would have liked to have seen what their plans were for the second and third book were if that movie had been successful. By the third, they would have changed it so much that it would have become a infomercial for shamwows.
