Because Satoko Hojo from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Kai certainly set off my protective instincts >.>
Would have died to protect her, had that been asked >.>
Can't think of that ever happening in a game, though... it might have, I just don't remember.
I actually cried when everyone managed to save her without using violence ;~;Slenn said:-Snip-

I love those guys! Even if their programming is a bit weird, I feel terrible when they die.

So to save your dog from an expanse of open land and regular exercise you locked it in a house, in a town built around an undetonated nuclear device which is leaking radioactivity into the water?K4ndY said:Never really got attached to any characters or NPCs, except when it came to Dogmeat in Fallout3. Ended up keeping him locked up in my home in Megaton from fear of him dying.
Aye. It's probably because this time around you are actually the one who's whole life is charged to protecting them. That, and they say the darn-est things.Demongeneral109 said:I could never bring myself to harvest them... the connection is even closer in 2...*sniff*kirbowshi said:For me definitely has to be a "Little Sister" from Bioshock (1 and 2). I mean, I'm a bit of a jerk but they're little girls for god's sake. Plus in Bioshock 2, I felt bad every time they fearfully said "you're not going to hurt me are you daddy? I've been good, really."
Hahaha. Good luck with that. If you're hoping for a daughter your gonna get like a boy or twin-boys. The trick is to not want one.rvbnut said:I got the same feeling to protect the little sisters. I couldn't see them to be harmed. Maybe I should have a daughter when I have a kid?kirbowshi said:For me definitely has to be a "Little Sister" from Bioshock (1 and 2). For me it would be Aura to.Demongeneral109 said:For me, thats aura from the ./hack games/ The games after mutation sucked, but whenever Aura showed up, or I even just heard her theme, I just wanted to hug her and protect her from the evils of the world.
Here's a link to her theme

I feel the same way about my Elites in Halo 2/3. Whenever they come into the battle I work like mad and around the clock to make sure that my fellow Sangheilian brethren live to battle the brutes another day.bl4ckh4wk64 said:ODST troopers in Halo 3.
