I don't believe in God, and as such my answer is either that there is no meaning, or that the meaning simply is to exist. Considering evolution, one could say that the purpose of every species is to keep their species going, and make it as suitable for it's role as possible. However, I believe that this is no longer the purpose of species that form larger societies, such as ants, termites, and humans. The purpose of these species is to make their societies as strong as possible. However, since there is no end goal, I don't see why anyone bother, apart from the fact that we are programmed to bother.

I don't think it was, although I guess what I wrote probably wasn't that important in the scheme of things anyway.

It's a good thing you don't have to spell it to be one, or else you'd be screwed.

I think the meaning of life is discover a meaning FOR life. To go out there and find something or someone that gave your life meaning.

I guess our goal as living creatures is to survive and procreate. Our goal as humans, according to the bible, is to be the guardians of the planet and ruler of all creatures, but we're failing pretty badly on that front.

The meaning of life, our ultimate goal or purpose so to speak, is unknown and forever shall remain that way because there is no goal, no finish line, no "You beat boss, you are win, game is over". And I prefer it that way.

Basically this is all a fancy way of saying "I have no idea".

a god is created by man to set up social goals, rules, and consequences for undesired behavior. in other words a fictional moderator that seems to work quite well. a god is based on faith and with out faith it is nothing. to prove its vary existence denies faith, thus denies a god and makes is cease to exist.

the meaning of life is there is no over viewing constant meaning. we make our own meaning as a culture. some cultures believes that the meaning is to worship a supreme being, while others believe the meaning is to be a generally good person.

i personally don't follow one god but i take all the morals i know from many religions and follow a collaboration of them with no god. i'm afraid that i might try to prove ones existence and piss off many people .

Survival. Quite simply, our point in life is to exist long enough to continue our species by reproducing who will then hopefully survive long enough to reproduce and so on. Maybe it's my agnostic side coming out but if you look at animals they don't have a god and do just fine by simply surviving (unless something eats them, then it's justified by the predator being better evolved and then surviving)
