The best wee mad country in the world.

You can say what you like about anywhere, yes some countries do do some things better than us. But I would put it forward that we are the only country in the world that has a level of national insanity that is almost always in the best interests of people.

I was once on a train that had broken down for 6 hours (virgin train of course) and nobody kicked up a fuss, they just went "oh dear" and went back to reading The Daily Telegraph, when they got home they promptly sent a letter to said newspaper with regards to the "atrocious" service they received from the buffet cart (it was PG tips tea as opposed to Earl Grey, the swines!).
I can imagine in your native country they'd practically overthrow the government for something like that.
Pretty much, in 1998 we had a strike over a new legislation that stated that if you went on strike for more than 3 days you didn't get paid for it... I'll let that sink in for a bit... we went on strike over striking rights.

Bringing the country to its knees is a national past time of ours.
Aye, if only we could protest as well as you. Whenever we try to protest, either nothing significant happens, it gets insanely violent, or the British army open fire on us. Sometimes all 3.
The problem you guys have is that of segregation, divide and conquer is the phrase needed, your country was not only split in two but its people was also split further with religious beliefs, its sad because you have a wonderful country (Dublin girls oh yeah).

The French are one and are united when we fight.

What I love about Sweden is probably the cold winters (although the hot summers sort of cancel that out whenever they show their ugly faces). I like it coooooold but bearable.

Then there's the more or less accepting attitude towards sex, along with a widespread secular mindset. Though some people are still allowed to congregate in churches, mosque´s and synagogues, I hope that some day it will be abolished completely.

Then there's he fact that the founders of the piratebay are from here. There's alo the fact that Sweden probably acted in he most mature and responsible manner of pretty much all countries involved in World War II.

Of course, there are plenty of things that I hate about the country in question as well, that will largely cancel all the positive sides out. But that's pretty much the case with any nation on the face of the earth so...

Canada- Nobody hates us and everyone loves us.
Except for the Toronto policeforce that is. I mean, they certainly seem to enjoy kicking the shit out of skinny, leftist protesters who commit the crime of singing the Canadian national anthem in public. :p

To paraphrase George Bernard Shaw, "Put an Irishman on a spit and you can always find another Irishman to turn him".

Still, from time to time, there's something that will unite the country, be it a war, a crisis, or anything. The last one was actually due to France, coincidentally. The whole Thierry Henry thing.
Oops, sorry about that by the way!

Ah, I don't give a shit, really, but you should have seen the massive overreaction, it was hilarious. Somebody draped a sign over the M50 saying "Death to the French".

Hehe, morons. The French have been kinder to Ireland than almost any other nation. They invaded here countless times to try to get the English out.

Still, c'est la vie, eh?
Any publicity is good publicity, hooray for the French!.

You want over reaction over anything and football in particular;

And secondly, the music is d*** good.
The country's Sweden, if you didn't know,
and our music is among the best
the world has ever see- uh, I mean heard.
I'd agree with that.

As for me I'm from the UK and I guess I'd say comedy, we have by far the best comedy than anywhere else in the world!

Our comedians, our history, how we stick by our decisions even if USA condemns us(Lockerbie Bomber) and we're one of the countries where Coke isn't the most popular drink(it's Irn Bru).

Scotland ftw:)

The multiculturalism.
Sure, we might have lost what it 'means' to be British but does anyone else know what it 'means' to be anything?

Wouldn't you love just to walk down a road of restaurants and have the choice of having authentic food from anywhere in the world?
This, the punk look, the miniskirt and the comedy. We've tripped up on music a little lately but we were great before pop came along.

Why is he a troll? I bet you assume that because of a limited knowledge about the country and a mind corrupted by media... it's always that. :/

What do I love about England? Well, here's a list for you.

- We have possibly the best comedy/comedians in the world.
- We have the BBC, with its (mostly) impartial news (compared to pretty much everyone else), its Doctor Who and its quite frankly awesome modern retelling of Sherlock Holmes.
- A UK based company produced perhaps the best FPS series in the world (TimeSplitters).
- We have a deep and interesting history.
- Classic Rock is mostly made up of British bands.
- One of the coolest accents in the world when in the right hands (or should I say vocal chords?).
- We have Stephen Fry. Bow down to us.

And of course, we are the only country in the world to have our national anthem played by Brian May, part-time astronomer and full-time arse-kickulator, on the roof of an historic building.

Anyone who disagrees will be sentenced to deafening by BRIAN BLESSED, a man so loud that his name must always be put in bold.

I like the fact that Sweden is the best country ever to exist and we get more awesome every day.

srsly though, we have nice air and water and great views. to put it simply, we're like Switzerland without the mountains and super-charged democracy...our historyis more impressive though =D
