Ireland has beautiful countryside.
Yes, yes it does.
I'm American, and I love most of the things about my country. Don't like the way our politics are shifting to the left, but I'm sure that will correct itself.

As a Canadian, I enjoy the free health care, living in the Slurpee Capital of the World and our reputation of being good, upstanding folk

Then there's the more or less accepting attitude towards sex, along with a widespread secular mindset. Though some people are still allowed to congregate in churches, mosque´s and synagogues, I hope that some day it will be abolished completely.
Wait what? You believe it would be better if people didn't have the freedom to practise their own religion? That they'd be punished for their beliefs? SERIOUSLY? Do you realise how fucking stupid and ignorant that is? I really hope you're not serious about that...

- Tadeusz Kościuszko [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadeusz_Ko%C5%9Bciuszko]
- ORP Orzeł [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orze%C5%82_incident]
- Poland was pretty powerful during the middle ages, before Prussia, Austria and Russia tore our country apart. Bitches.
- Beautiful women. Hell yes.
- Cracow [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cracow].
- Some say our anthem [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nmFHUbVQtA] is pretty catchy~
- Yes, our people are pretty intelligent and wise, in comparison to some other countries which don't really know, "How many sides does triangle have" [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYmTEmUYj_8] or "What is the United Kingdom" [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYmTEmUYj_8].
- Beautiful landscapes here, in the southern hills
- And pretty much everything, excluding our politicians and overzealous old people. And mostly because of them Poland doesn't have very good opinion all over the world. Damn it.

No, you misunderstand. I don' believe that it would be righ to abolish religion, however I am of the opinion that ORGANIZED religion should be abolished, because it is the greatest source of destructive and hateful behaviour in the world.

Im all for people belieiving in a god, and maintaining some kind of relationship with their god, but that relationship should be something strictly kept between the individual and their god and not be allowed to spill out on others.

Churchgoing, preaching and other religious organized activites only serve to indoctrinate people into conforming to religious standards, and pretty much always serves to fill the practicioners with a sense of self righteousness and an "us and them"-mentality, eventually making them stage ridiculous protests outside abortion clinics and committing terrorism against people who don't stick to the same religious beliefs as they do.

So I want to cut that opportunity out, along with the chance of religious figureheads and leaders gaining power over others that they don't deserve.

The world has let that practice go on for so long already and with disasterous results, it's time that governments wise up and abolish organized religion.

That means, no more churches, mosque´s or synagogues. No more fund-raising and religious sponsoring, or tax money being delegated to the church. It also means taking action when parents are evidently trying to indoctrinate their children into a religion.

Religious people have had these opportunities for far too long already and they have always been abused, thus I find no viable reason to tolerate it.

Besides, the truly faithful wouldn't mind if his happened. Because they would know that their god doesn't "disappear" simply because they aren't allowed to go to church anymore. Because REAL religion is supposed to be about faith, not congregations or political actions motivated by religious reasons.

XD

I heard that BRIAN BLESSED could easily send Chuck Norris to the sun simply by yelling at him. Luckily for he rest of the world, the two have decided not to face eachother in battle.

Except for the Toronto policeforce that is. I mean, they certainly seem to enjoy kicking the shit out of skinny, leftist protesters who commit the crime of singing the Canadian national anthem in public. :p

Yeah. Check youtube for some vids if you have the time. Use keywords like "2010" ,"Toronto", "Protests" and "Police brutality", and you'll probably find some relevant ones.

Sure protesters rarely act in the most civilized manner, as many past riots does demonstrate. But the actions by the police in Toronto at that time was downright appalling.

I mean, sure! Let's shoot some skinny, unarmed guy in the face with a teargas gun at point blank range just because he's holding his arms outstreched yelling "PEACEFUL protest!". That makes sense, doesn't it? :p

Sarcasm aside, if I was a Canadian citizen, then I wouldn't have been very proud of the police that day. I would also have been very critical towards the government defending those actions and blatantly going in the interests of private corporation rather than upholding civil rights.

Not much. To tell the truth, my country (America) is so spread out now, that sometimes the only thing connecting one side of the country to the other is the Americanized English language and the media.

Beautiful scenery, diverse music, friendly people, universal health care, the wildlife...etc. I could go on and on. And as much as I love Canada as a whole, I love Newfoundland all that much more.

I love that, despite all the pessimists, the country has not fallen into a million pieces of complete chaos.

I don't love the United States, but I do love some of the drama we are prepared to well up. A constant dance of finger pointing, name calling, and self-righteousness keeps everyone fidgeting too much to ever REALLY get some kind of secure hold on, "Power."
