Check the edit, you'll have your explanation. In a game like left 4 dead where the opposing team assumes that every time a player leaves is a rage quit, you might as well make an entertaining excuse for when it actually is.Guy Jackson said:=|UltraXan said:We've all had moments like this. You're on a losing team, you're getting your ass handed to you, you wanna leave, but you wanna leave with a sense of dignity and you don't want it to look like the rage quit it really is. So you say a quirky little excuse before you leave and find another game.
I don't think I've ever done that. I'll always fight to the end. Losing is a part of playing and all that. Hmm. Am I weird or are you just a really sore loser? =p
Wow, that really sucks... I really do wonder how people like that mod sleep at night...GLo Jones said:My last rage quit was about 3 months ago, when a Minecraft PvP survival server's mod thought he'd destroy everything I'd spent the last week making "for shits and giggles". Of course, being a mod, there was nothing I could do to stop him finding my hidden base, and wrecking my shit.
My limited knowledge of networks leads me to believe this would NOT cause any difference in how you joined a game. NAT stands for network area translation, and basically allows multiple private addresses to be used beind your NAT as a single IP address. From the servers (call of duty) perspective your IP address never changes, thus shouldn't be affecting your placement.scully745 said:I'll usually say something along the lines of "what the fuck is this shit" and then disconnect. I either do that, or if it's been happening alot there is often the sound of the nearest smal object being thrown at the TV. Then disconnecting.
Becomes a problem because games like Black Ops like to put me into several games in a row where the other team's score is around ~7000 (assuming TDM) or they're leading by an obscene amount.
May be a bit off-topic, but would Black Ops's tendency to dump me in nearly finished matches have anything to do with my NAT being set to Moderate? I have tried changing it, but apparently my router is so unique that no website I've been to has information on how to access it and change the NAT settings.
