I ask because in every game with health potions you never really know what its made out of or if it even tastes good.i think it tastes like vegetables or nasty roots...or robatusan.hopefully not though.
We're talking about the classic red potions, right? I always thought they tasted like fruit punch. Don't know why.

Health Potion is really the blood of a virgin... with carbonation.
thats an interesting way to put it
OT: It has to taste be something extremely bland or foul so I'd say skunk spray glands

Depends on what game you're talking about. I remember thinking that it would suck if the potions in Diablo tasted bad, seeing is you have to drink loads and loads of them.

An interesting prospect!
OT: Health potions taste like a sort of dry, slightly stale bread with a slight raspberry aroma with two pieces of parlsey adorning the top of the bread. It is stuffed with meat by-by-product. From Mcdonalds.

My friend bought one of those Final Fantasy potions when we went to Japan, it tasted like sweet and perfume. It was disgusting.

I can only imagine how soothing (addictive?) having something you drink mend your body would feel, I think the taste would be the last of your concern.

Most likely thought, it would have a medicinal taste and taste very bad or taste like heavenly... again, how can something that actually patch you up taste bad? Can you imagine? You got a toothache going on, you just splash a little bit of the potion in your mouth and all of a sudden all your cavities are fixed. 0_o

I think it's pretty funny that the 'red potion = healing' trope (for a lack of a better word) is so strongly ingrained in people that the most popular answer is that it would taste like cherry/blood/another-random-red thing.

In Morrowind, on the other hand, they probably taste salty and thick, considering that saltrice and marshmerrow are the most common ingredients used to make them...
