I want Garrus to have finished calibrating by the time ME3 comes out. Seriously though more conversation, it was strong in ME1 then dribbled down it's front for ME2 :/ I know the story was big and epic and all but it felt like that was happening in other locations while shepard runs through some strict claustrophobic environments to keep the cinematics going. make us part of the big experience bioware, as it stand it really does feel like being the camera in ME2 as opposed to commander shepard saviour of the universe.

In my humble opinion, I think Mass Effect 3 will be great no matter what is added/taken out/expanded upon.

The Mass Effect games are the only games that actually make me want to play through them more than once. There's so much to do and so many different ways to play the game, it constantly holds my interest.

One thing that I will say is that our heroes need to go out in a blaze of glory. Make the ultimate sacrifice for the fate of the galaxy. End it with a huge, galaxy-wide funeral service for each of the crew members.

The service would play out like this,

-- The caskets for each squad member are on the Citadel for a public service. A massive crowd is in attendance. People who are still alive and knew the crew well come up one by one and give speeches. A moment of silence is given. Individual cuts to different planets all over the galaxy are shown, each one with a giant crowd gathered around holograms or video screens watching the ceremony. The entire galaxy shares in this moment of silence. Everyone bowing their heads, honoring the fallen heroes. Fade to black from a final shot of the caskets. --

I want a legitimate reason for having to remake Shepard again. ME2 had a pretty good reason but you can't have Shepard die again. That would just be stupid.

I wanna see tali's face, I want the customization of ME1 (ammo types, armor upgrades) but better managed, plus the ability to change the armor color( 'cause I don't care if Pheonix armor is better, I ain't wearing white and pink), the gun system of ME2, the ability to augment Male Shepard's default face (give extra scars, change eye color, ect), and I know that Mass effect fields (biotics) are blue, I want red biotic powers. that would be badass. I wanna keep the heavy weapons (I <3 the Cain), and I want nudity. C'mon Bioware, games like Dante's Inferno and God of War serves as proof that one CAN at least have full upper nudity (i.e. breasts), and not get banned.

Indeed. Bioware really missed an opportunity with that lack of Garrus conversation in ME2. Of course, it could have something to do with the fact that there isn't really anything new we can learn about him.

...

Wait, scratch that. They could have had him talk about his service in the turian military! I mean, he did have a career before C-Sec, right? Shape up, Bioware!

Alright, give me a minute to complie just 10 of the items into a list....
(computer noises, followed by a ding!!!)

1 What a quarian looks like
2 Thane's homeworld
3 The Geth Actually helping fight the reapers ( yes, I saved the geth. But it was by accident so... It doesn't count. :D
4 More hot Asari Justicars and their sleezy daughters
5 The krogan race making a small, yet sustainable boost in population
6 The Cain to become even more wicked and menacing
7 he hot half- asari half-krogan bartender to return (hopefully, you know what I'm talking about. Unless I'm the only one who does a little exploring instead of just the main story...)
8 A tv to watch in you quarters featuring a sitcom with elcors and those little fat aliens (face it, you know that would be sweet...)
9 Teammates able to wield heavy weapons in at least a few certain spots of the game
10 The quarians find a new home planet

And the keeps going, and going, and going...

Legion and Garrus, oh and Tali, bring those characters in and I will be happy.

Nothing like a Sniper, a Tech Master, and living Tech on your team.

Oh and more comedy, Mass Effect made me laugh and grin more times then any other serious game

Tali's face NOT to be shown- since thats a popular subject.

Most importantly, though, I wanna see homeworlds! (or more homeworlds)
We hear a lot about the home planets for the Asari, Turian, Salarians and even Earth- but we never see them. And even though there was a strong theme of "the problems on Earth don't have much affect on humans and other races on the galactic scale"

But with Mass Effect 3, I would imagine the core amount of the game would not only be fighting against the Reaper threat but equally about Diplomacy between all races as a whole to be in the fight- much like how Dragon Age did things. That and we saw Tuchanka and the Migrant Fleet, its time to see (*whatever the homeworlds of the council races are*) and to get them all to rally along with the Citadel to fight back. Internal conflict between the races, now faced with such a huge enemy and the scope of the destruction it presents.

The theme of Mass Effect 3 always, to me, felt like it would be more about marshaling troops under a banner and more about an actual war, rather than the themes of the last 2 games- where the first was an epic about unraveling a mystery and finding a place in the galaxy- and the second dealt with the certainty of death in less-epic, more character-driven story about leading a small, elite team against suicidal odds, and coming out on top.
The third should complete the arc in dealing with an ultimatum, ending the cycle of the Reapers. Doing so by showing how your travels and experiences prove your ability to lead and really change things to get the universe to collaborate for once. Even Vigil said that Sovereign had to marshal the Geth because even the Reapers would face considerable opposition if they faced organics alone.

That and females of the different races. If theres a woman in Mass Effect, she's only either an Asari, Human or Quarian. We should see female Turians, Salarians and even Krogan.

Tali.

To settle the situation between the Quarians and the Geth once and for all.

To explore inhabited planets with a vehicle that doesn't suck. Ideally a smaller aircraft.

I'm not sure if I care as much as I did for Liara in the first game, but then again she's the only female option for FemShepard so...

Minor: Being able to change my teammate's armor. Miranda and Jack looked completely out of place with the rest of the team at least wearing some sort of protective gear.

Game design wise, I'm on board with pretty much everyone here. I'd like a game that played as tightly and as well as ME2 but with more of the depth that was shown (broken or otherwise) in ME1.

Storyline wise... actually, I'd like a mix of the two there as well. ME1 had more interesting planet/universe wide story moments, but ME2 did much better in terms of characters and individual stories I cared about. I would definitely like a real honest divergence in story based on both your chosen relationship(s) and your storyline choices. It doesn't have to be huge (though huge would be good) but it needs to be more than just a slightly different cut scene or copy and paste character swap at the very end of the game.

One major pet peeve of mine that I hope they address is crew interaction. I, as I'm sure many others, am obsessive about talking to my crew any chance I can get just in case something has changed. For people like me, both ME1 and ME2 totally failed in this regard (though ME2 was a little better). Give each character more damn things to say! Not every conversation needs to be hours long with numerous morality choices, but I shouldn't be hitting the wall of "Let's talk later" when I've only been on my ship twice. DA:O did this much better with far more conversations, both meaningful and not, storyline related or not, available every time you went to camp. You still hit that "talk later" wall though not as often, and usually when you did it wasn't with every single character in your party at the same time. And speaking of that wall, can we please give the characters more brush off lines? You've been adjusting those weapons for 2 weeks now Garrus.. just admit it, you aren't doing anything and you just don't want to talk to me.

Lots of points to follow:

Add the airlock to the Normandy again. Make it so that you HAVE to go through the docks to get back on your ship. No magic taxi.

More Joker.

Larger/more hub worlds.

Bring back the feel from the original score. The music in the second game was good, but it wasn't anywhere NEAR as fantastic as the first one. The music in the first set it apart from every other game on the market. Especially during the fight sequences. The music that plays during the final epic struggle in the first game is particularly awesome.

Bring back planet exploration, but make it less "exploring randomly terrain-generated planets" and more "planetary exploration on different planets".

MOAR JOKER.

Bring back the Normandy music.

Reset the lighting to the Normandy 1. It made things seem so much more Moody and tense.

Give the characters better animation in combat. I know they tried in both games, but when you aim, your characters shouldn't be firing from the hip.

Bring back the option to troll the Council.

Bring back the old Presidium and Wards, in addition to a new one. I missed being able to dance it up in Flux.

Get rid of those annoying loading screens. The elevators may have been a pain sure, but if they had more conversations, or even let you run around in them, it would be nicer.

More squad conversation. Having your squadmembers pop in during conversations to share their point of view would be fantastic. Normally they just kinda stand there like dumb mutes. Overlord got around this by having them actually do stuff. But I'd really like to have a more dynamic system where they could butt into a conversation if they had a point to share or a comment to make. Or even to have them initiate conversations with Shepard.

Add more people walking around. In the first Mass Effect, there were characters walking around the presidium. In Mass Effect 2, characters just sort of stand in the same spot forever and ever. Just liven the world up a bit. I would LOVE to see a Normandy that's more than a bunch of static characters. Have it be like that one mission where you play as that one guy where people are actually moving around the ship! Incorporate shift changes and stuff! Make it seem like there's actually a crew that DOES something aside from stand or sit ALL day.

The ability to wear ME1 type armors again. I missed the Onyx armor. The new chunky Shepard armor just seems to split too far from the overall artistic style of Mass Effect.

Let us go to EVERY PLACE we've gone to in the previous games.

Make the side missions longer and more story-based. Like most of the missions in the first game. And for that matter, make the "dungeons" larger. There were plenty of N7 missions where you walked through a couple of rooms and it was over. Add more levels like the Kasumi mission, but don't make them a character loyalty mission.

Let us make real, physical upgrades to the Normandy. Not just fancy stat boosts that effect a movie and the outcome of the game. Want to change the theme from Cerberus to Alliance a la Normandy 1? Go for it! Want to make it look like a civilian ship? Go for it! Want to repaint the exterior? Go for it! Want to change the engine room to be like the kick-ass drive core from the Normandy 1? Hell yes! And for that matter, let us choose what kind of embarked vehicles we want. Be they shuttles, Makos, Hammerheads, or something new!

Let us back down into the hanger of the Normandy.

Make the conversations a little more than just standing in one spot talking. More walking conversations, more conversations in cars and stuff, more conversations in combat, etc.

Let us punch the reporter again.

Make Captain Anderson a badass again. He was a kickass mentor in the first game and he became a tired old dude in the second. How awesome would it be to have him pal around with Shepard? Or at the very least make him actively fight for your side of things on the Council.

More. Planet. Exploration.

I loved Mass Effect 2, but it broke my heart by taking away the planet exploration and replacing it with mining missions. What I loved about the planet exploration was that it really gave me a sense that I was in this huge universe to explore and it had me immersed into the game. In Mass Effect 2, all I got was a hunt and peck minigame to find minerals. Yeah, not much of an improvement.

Sure, it had plenty of problems, like the planets being essentially the same, or the Mako, but those can be improved. There can be different types of areas on the planets (water, trees, more creatures, etc.) and the Mako controls could be easily fixed. Sure, it would take a longer time to develop and a lot more memory to use up, but hey, Mass Effect 2 used two discs, and I'm a patient guy. Take your time, Bioware. I want this to be good.

Oh, and an Elcor squad mate, because Elcor are awesome.

ROFL.

If there's not a huge space battle with every warship in existence fighting, I will be disappoint. There needs to be Mako like missions; ME2 felt so small without them. I would also like to dismiss that turian councilor, or send a geth or rachni ship to get them off the Citadel when they call for help.

It needs to be said again: more RPG elements. I liked everything they took out. The combat with finite ammo is retarded. I liked to put 2 heatsinks on an assault rifle and never stop: It's how Saren got put down. Twice.

Also, who else here thinks that it would be more epic and emotional if the main character's don't die in the end? Because Shepard being sacrificed would be too cliche.

If Bioware's gonna kill off Shepherd at the beginning, or some other excuse for why I'm able to change class and appearance between each game (and somehow everyone can still recognize shepherd, despite the fact that I had her start as a caucasian soldier, and had her resurrect as an Asian Adept), let me have the option to reconstitute Shepherd in an alien body. Krogan Shepherd would be waaaay more effective than human shepherd if you ask me.

Also, more Geth. Legion was one of my favorite squadmates, and it's a pity you recruit it?/him?/her? so late in ME2. They should play out that whole conflict between the quarians and the geth.
