Some time in the future when people aren't contantly trying to kill each other, and poeple fight with swords for fun rather than out of hatred. Kinda a japanese middle ages minus the social differences (think a working model of communism)

I like now. 70's or 90's doesn't seem so bad, but I keep thinking they people are all going to be uncomfortably conservative, and that doesn't suit me one bit.

I'd say a decade or two into the future, but I don't really know if it's going to be screwed up or not.

I'm fine with the present. Go back into the past and you get the cold war. Go further back, and you get the world wars. Further back still and you start running out of amenities like running water and the like, as well as no healthcare. Further back you go and you start running into religious fanatics who want to cut your head off, and I happen to be an atheist.

Humans progress, not regress. There is little in the past I want to experience first hand, frankly.

On the other hand, go into the future and we'll no doubt encounter the giant mutant cockroaches and dragons which genetic engineering gone mad will have created. So nah, I'm fine with this era where the cockroaches and budgies are normal sized.

I want to travel in the space, find new terra-class planets, mine asteroids for extravagant substances, make contact with other intelligent species.
But mostly to get out of this rock. The life is so little here.

Be born in 1910, so I can experience the 20s as a teenager, then the 40s, the 50s, then the 60s. And if it wasn't for a little thing called World War 2, I might get away with it.
