What "final boss," or "final battle," do you hate the most?

What the Fu-
It was quite funny in an Indiana Jones way. He had his gun out, and pointing at me, and I beat him to the draw with my Lincoln Rifle. Don't mess with Liam Neeson.jr! (that's what my character's called)

Easy, Ugh Zan in Serious Sam. I actually didn't manage to take him down. I was running around him for HOURS (without him killing me either). I had even looked up how to kill him on gamefaq...

Still VERY upset the PS3 wont get Serious Sam HD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: Most fun? As EASY!! METROID PRIME. The first one!! Those sweet sweet hours I spent with her (yes, her!). Even the endlessly repeated trip up through the metroids. Just makes the sense of achievement that much greater.

GTA IV, Dimitri. That mission is the single reason I've been unable to complete that (otherwise rather easy) game.

Not the fight itself, but the sheer fucking annoyance of the last level. Killing my way into and through the warehouse is a piece of piss, as is getting up to the roof and letting the chopper take off. However (and bare in mind that I've attempted this mission about 15 times), as soon as I climb into the speedboat he shoots me with a rocket and blows it up. I don't even have time to start the engine. EVERY. FUCKING. TIME. And its not as if you can restart from there, you can only restart, drive all the way there again, fight your way back up to the roof...I just can't be bothered with it. I've asked around, but nobody else seems to have encountered a bug like this, so I can only assume that the game fucking hates me.

Also, the last boss from Gun, whose name I can't remember anymore. He has armour on that deflects your bullets, even on his totally unarmoured head. He also appears to be immune to explosions, fire, arrows and hitting him with a sword. He carries a shotgun that kills you in two hits. After enough attempts, I stopped bothering, and ended up not finishing the game.

1-hit kills and full-health heals generally bother me, but there's always ways around them.

I dunno, I don't think I really hate any boss fight as long as they don't involve luck as a major component of them.

The weird bugs cloud in Resistance 2. You can't kill it, just move through the map in a predefined pace to make it fall into some traps. If you move too slow, you are dead. If you move too fast, you may get trapped in a room without a place to go and the cloud stucked and waiting at the door. It even requires you to run away from it at full speed, then stop and turn in a particular place, with no clues about it.

I had to see a video on youtube to learn the path.

I don't hate them, but most of the bosses in the Jak games are "Shoot the exposed weak spot NOW!" which makes the remainder of the boss fight, you vs all the goons they throw at you.

It's like Arkham Asylum all over again.

FFX because it was way easy. You get to the end of the game and.... what that was it?! It was a joke.

On the other end of the spectrum the Ninja Gaiden games were OMG hard. I mean seriously, I could scrape my way all the way to the last boss of those games but when I get there it's just an endless stream of one shot kills, and me crying.

I know it's not a final boss, but I'mma go with the two scarabs part on Halo 3 Legendary difficulty. I found it to be the hardest bit in the game. And I now perminently have the phrase "I GOT TWO SCARABS, REPEAT, TWO SCARABS" ingrained in my brain.

It's so rare newer games have a big bad final boss anymore. The last mainstream game I can remember that did have one was Gears of War 1. God, RAAM was such an awesome fight! Shame the follow up to that was a mutated lambent Brumak which died after 3 hits with a Hammer of Dawn in a place that you couldn't even be hit let alone die!
You're mixing up a boss fight with a final fight.
Raam was the boss of Gears1, Scorge was the boss was Gears2.
Scorge's fight was interesting, but rather hard.
Not really, the lambent Brumak was still technically a boss fight.
And Scorge was piss easy. Did it by myself on insane >_>

Maybe since I was split screen I had a tough time. I couldn't control that damn reaver, hehe. I will never consider the Brumak a boss fight since.. well.. I don't think you can actually DIE when you fight it.
Maybe it is, but I don't consider it to be a boss fight.

Bowser in the original Super Mario Bros. You have to start dodging his attacks before you can even see him, and if you miss that jump, you're dead meat. A very unforgiving boss battle, and not even very satisfying because he just KEEPS COMING BACK!!!!

Edit: I also like the final battle in Devil May Cry 4. Unless you figure out that you can buster his sword charges, that battle is very tedious and annoying. However, after you figure that out, the battle is insultingly easy. Stupid Pope-looking ************...

The end boss of Trine was a real piece of shit. Completely soured the game for me, until I went back and played through level 1-15 again without level 16, that is.

The Final Boss of Gears of War 1.

It was such a luck based battle, and even on easy was too difficult. The only game I quit simply because I couldn't defeat him, and I've never even felt a little bad that I didn't complete it.

I knew it was bad when I got bored and tried finding an online walkthrough, and the only things I could find for nearly three pages of google was 'this battle is luck based and nearly impossible.'

Oh god, I remember hating that fight on 'Insane'(that was it, right?). Took almost a full evening, only Mile High Club has taken me nearly as long in an FPS.

I dont know if you would count this guy as a "final boss", but in World of Warcraft, the final boss on the Trails of the Crusader(the raid), all you do is fight a big bug :( The fight machanics are fun, but your in a Arena style tournament thingy, you think the last boss would be abit more epic.
