What "final boss," or "final battle," do you hate the most?

Personally, the final boss i hated the most was the Guitar Battle vs. Lou (expert) in guitar hero III.

I've spent hours upon hours of trying to beat him, but if the power ups don't go your way you will always lose.
The "fight" against Lucien at the end of Fable II. Seriously, how anti-climactic can you make the end of a game?!?

Well, it's split between two bosses for me...

Colonel Autumn in Fallout 3, the man, the big bad guy who coldly murdered your father. One shotgun to the face later he's an extremely unsatisfying pile of giblets. Hell, he was dead before the miniguns of his guards were up to firing speed.
Yeah i hated him, it was like "Hey your epic Dad just died but i randomly survived even though i was a small part back then and haven't been properly introduced! Nyer!

Guilty spark at the end of Halo 3. Even on insane difficulty I didn't die once, and I died A LOT on insane difficulty.
Do you happen to mean Legendary difficulty? Or have you been playing Gears of Halo?

After playing games this long, all the names for difficulty levels start to run together... Insane is the name for... SSBB? Or Bioshock or Dead Space? Never played Gears of War though.

Not really, the lambent Brumak was still technically a boss fight.
And Scorge was piss easy. Did it by myself on insane >_>
Maybe since I was split screen I had a tough time. I couldn't control that damn reaver, hehe. I will never consider the Brumak a boss fight since.. well.. I don't think you can actually DIE when you fight it.
Maybe it is, but I don't consider it to be a boss fight.
Hehe, it certainly doesn't deserve to be called a boss fight. But it's not a normal fight either, so I guess it is just a final fight. :|
And yeah, controlling that reaver was frickin' horrible. The only thing that really balenced out that fight was that Scorge's attacks missed me nearly every time (and the ones that did hit weren't one hit kills). :)

Oh christ, Lucien at the end of Fable 2 was the worst boss fight I have ever played, now that I think of it. I mean, I didn't even get to hear his speech because I was mashing Y thanks to the game taking control away from you, then when it gave control back my character immediately shot him in the face with a shotgun. I still have no idea what his point or motive was!

Colonel Autumn. The game builds up to it and then the battle is upon me!

...

Then I tear him a new one. Easily. Big disappointment.

The Poseidon Statue in Age of Mythology. In spite of him having a whole freakin' mythological army backing him up, he's defeated by a single guy i.e. you. Disappointment.

Nick Fury in the new Ultimate Alliance. Its really stupid. Each time you knock of a quarter of his health he becomes invincible and fights himself while spamming undodgeable area of effect damage. And the voices are so covered up by your stupid AI slaves still spamming attacks that nothing important comes out of it. Also, he is most likely the crappiest character in the game and really not worth the grind.

Same thing I will always list for boss threads.

Vergil the final time in DMC 3 on Dante Must Die. There is nothing more infuriating than a boss with regenerating health. If you don't keep up your attack you'll loose all you progress in the fight. On top of that Vergil uses sort of a Super Devil Trigger that makes him damn near impossible to hit.

Mercenaries 2. The most obnoxious thing ever. Handling an entire final boss fight with a cut scene full of quick time events.

The Joker in Batman: Arkham Asylum.

You don't really fight him, you just fight henchmen... disappointing. :(

Fortinbras at the end of the 4th Onimusha. I've played three of those now and they never have a final boss that isn't both obnoxious and boring at the same time, but Fortinbras blows the rest out of the water in this department.

Like most of Dawn of Dream's bosses, he has about 3 lines he repeats ad nauseum to help ruin a semi-cool remix of the game's 'danger' theme. And you're going to hear them a lot, because he's only vulnerable for a short period after about a minute of helplessly dodging his attacks repeated over and over. None of your special attacks or Omnimusha rages can help deplete his hideously long health bar any faster than just slashing away like a haymaker when he's down. Have a look at FAQs pertaining to him- every single one makes mention of a period about halfway through the battle until the 5/6 point (so about eight to ten rounds of knocking him down) where he will stagger his lasers and meteors, making them impossible to dodge (and did I mention none of this crap can be guarded against and you can't jump?!), one FAQ referring to this as his 'bs mode'. If I hadn't brought lots and lots of health items I'd have been stuck there forever, and this is on Medium setting.

Much like Necron of Final Fantasy fame (and sort of like his namesake, heh) Fortinbras comes out of nowhere with exactly one appearance and mention before it, after you've beaten what seems to be the final boss (see TV Tropes' 'Giant Space Flea From Nowhere' article). Maybe there might be another Onimusha after that one (it IS Capcom after all) but thanks to Fortinbras and Nobunaga I won't be playing it.
