To this day I refuse to eat chicken or duck feet. Pretty much most of time I go to a Chinese resturant with my parent they order that but I just find the thought of eating the feet repulsive.
What do you define as organic?Istvan said:I don't eat organic food because it is harmful to the environment and to humanity.
Holy hell, what for?Sarge034 said:Right now? Anything solid..... Had 5 teeth pulled.
In this context it refers to the food intentionally produced without the use of refined or artificial fertilizers. This is a bad thing due to the lower output of food (leading to greater food instability) and the larger amounts of waste materials led out into nature.Queen Michael said:What do you define as organic?
Is that trying it with and without skin on? Because if you're eating it with the skin on I can understand uncomfortableness (although I still eat the whole thingbinvjoh said:Kiwi, until recently.
I don't know why, it just makes me really uncomfortable.
Without. It just makes my skin crawl for some reason.retterkl said:Is that trying it with and without skin on? Because if you're eating it with the skin on I can understand uncomfortableness (although I still eat the whole thingbinvjoh said:Kiwi, until recently.

Hah, Sweden FTW. Swedish eggs are naturally salmonella free. *puts some raw eggyolk on Biff Rydberg* Softly boiled eggs with the yolk still running, yum.Proverbial Jon said:I'm with you on that. I will never choose to eat Mayonnaise for the very same reason, I mean raw eggs? People get salmonella from that you know! Urgh...

1) Ethically animals are treated poorly and are themselves sentient. They evolved alongside us and feel pain just like humans.
2) Human's don't need to eat meat to have a healthy diet. In fact many people have far too much meat in their diets and have health problems because of it.
3) Farming meat is completely inefficient. Beef is one of the most inefficient sources of protein to produce over time. We feed the animals on grain and other things which humans can eat ourselves and so theres a boatload of nutrition lost in the production process.
4) Carrying on from 3, if we produced everything arably then we could actually feed most of the worlds population. Considering the world is growing and is set to peak at 9 billion by around 2050 we need effecieny and sustainability in food production.
It is for this reason too that I reject free market capitalism. Not that i'm socialist or anything, just that if people produce what is demanded then when there is more and more demand for meat it means that there will be less and less food in the world. Those who can't afford food are left to starve while those who can will eat everything.
