- A second, full-length Grim Fandango done by the original developers,
- Mirror's Edge 2
- (The obvious) Half-Life 2 Episode 3 / Half Life 3.

I know there's more, but this is it for now.

Shadowrun 2, only this time it's actually worth $60 and has a crap ton of multiplayer modes for a variety of different players.

Or Bioshock 3/Infinite turning out to have multiplayer which doesn't lag and is balanced.
This is a pretty good one. I'd prefer it to be in the same manner the Genesis game was.

What would totally blow my mind is if they released the what I'm now assuming is cancelled Conflict Omega. The site has been down for many years, but it was going to be a FPSMMORPG that was post-apocalyptic/Cyberpunk/Survival horror themed. You could build bases, make guns, vehicles, hack things, and all sorts of crazy good ideas were being thrown around. That game had so much potential and they sketches and concepts were so incredible I can't believe it just suddenly disappeared. You can't really even find much of it on the internet anymore, as their main site has been removed.

A new Legacy of Kain announcement would make me remove my clothes and run a naked Lap of Belfast.

Sacrifice 2

For all its nuances it had a wonderful gameplay idea and phenomenal style. I think they could hammer out most bugs and gameplay issues in a sequel and continue the quirky story. I want more Tim Curry as a devious weather god is so much win.

Vagrant Story 2

That would totally make me crap my pants and for one split second I would feel curiosity and quiver with anticipation. Then I would freeze in horror as I know exactly how Square-Enix designs their games and worlds right now. (looks at FFXIII, shakes his head in shame) Take all the unique and partly depressing atmosphere out and replace it with "stylish" clothes, quirky haircuts and annoying teenage girl sidekicks. I can see it already...

A new Baldur's Gate. Would be epic.

A sequel to Planescape, or a new one altogether. THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES.

A sequel to Call of Cthulu, or, again, a new one altogether.

Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online Edition release date.

Oh, the suspense is killing me...

That, or a Jade Empire 2 announcement. I wouldn't give a damn if it's fucking 5 years out.
This.

Also, another Untold Legends game. Seriously, nobody remembers these games.

This thread is making my want to faceplam HARD.
If any of you are ever wondering why all we ever seem to get these days are "sequels, ripoffs, and wank," as Yahtzee so eloquently put it, look yourselves in the mirror and you'll find the answer.
I don't really think so, it makes sense that sequel announcements are more likely to make someone crap there pants, because the excitement from the original game is already there and can use it as a launch pad. It doesn't necessarily mean people don't want original content or new IP's.
"warcraft 4"
"Sim City 5"
"Colony Wars 4"
"Jedi knight 5"
"Persona 5"
"New 2D Metroid"

Ok then, but how do you explain this. And that's not even getting into the number of remakes mentioned with fancy graphics because apparently nobody watched the Extra Credits video on Aesthetics.
Also it seems I'm the only one who understands that a franchise only becomes truly memorable when it ENDS. And presumably the best time for it to end would be before it gets to the point where it's become akin to milking a dead cow. Take Metroid for example, I think the best time to stop making Metroid games would've been after Metriod Prime 2. Actually the most ideal time would've been after Super Metroid, keeping it as a tight trilogy, even though I loved Metroid Prime.
Anyway, I'm done ranting now.

Any Valve game with a 3 in it. The seem to have made a sequel for almost all of their games, but never a third.
Yeah it is weird, they were SO CLOSE to Half life 3/episode 3, but stopped at 2 and 2 :S
TF2
HL2
HL2:E2
Portal 2
L4D2

I think as soon as they release L4D3 the magical powers of newell creates HL3 too.
Also, they aren't going to E3 this year. Maybe Newell has triskaphobia. Or maybe they take so long making games because they are secretly developing a third game in all their series, & they're going to release them all at once. Everyone will buy them all; Valve will get everone's money & be in charge of the world's economy. It's their secret masterplan to take over the world.

A Mass effect MMO (I want one)
I want one too, so I'm waiting on The Old Republic. Made by the same developer, and from what I've seen, they overall system looks very similar to ME with persistent multiplayer. And I don't know about you but I would be very willing to give up the ME universe in exchange for Star Wars.
