"Have you played Banjo Tooie over? There are so many innuendos in that game, I'm surprised a group of parents didn't rise up in righteous anger. Now I know why my dad was laughing so much as I played."

I can't believe I was allowed to watch Captain Pugwash. All these kids TV programs and games filled with really sick innuendos. It's strange how they get them past the censorship groups.

As someone said, Chrono Trigger, if more people played it maybe JRPG bashing wouldn't be so bad.

Also, Super Mario Bros, World, and 64 with bonuses granted for Galaxy, Ocarina of Time and Link to the Past, Super Metroid and Prime (beating not required, though; I can see why someone would give up at Ridley or several points in Prime), Half Life 2, Portal, and Sly 2 as a shining example of cel-shaded graphics and a cartoonish noir feeling in a game.

Now that I think of it, a gaming history class should be in order in our public schools.

I'm going to go with you.

Everyone must play Ocarina Of Time to be a gamer.
*nods* That's a game that changed the Standards of a Series and a Console. If anything, for gaming history. I would put FF7 up there for the same reason as mentioned.
Also Mass Effect for a good Sci-Fi game without Halo drama. But then some might say that about Dead Space *shrug*.

Ok, well, at least you like games from modern times and not like 20 years ago
But there are alot of games in that list that are over 20 years old. In fact I can remember playing space quest on an old IBM computer with just a dos prompt and a 5.25 Floppy and no mouse it was all based off of typing in what you wanted to look at and how you wanted to use that item. But yes there are alot of new games that I love too. I really do agree that everyone should try the older games at least once. Especially ones that are in their favorite genre but I also think it is just as important to play the new games and find the new ones that you will add to the list of suggestions.

Know what I think? You're retarded or scared or gay or something, because you cannot judge a game from youtube footage. PLAY THE FUCKING GAME then judge it, and even if you don't like it, and the game is "horrible", how come it's sold more than any other game in recent years? How come almost everyone likes it? Dumb-asses like you should be put in their own country where they won't bother the rest of us.
You know what sells a lot? Mouth wash. THIS DOES NOT MAKE IT THE MOST TASTIEST OF DRINKS. Just because something sells in vast quantities to people does not make it good. The last twilight film was a huge success and every teenage girl came away loving it, however THIS DOES NOT MAKE IT THE BEST FILM EVER.

Look, stevie. Your new to this forum. We don't appreciate your constant anger and foul language. Just tone it down.

/End back seat administrating

EDIT: I think everyone who says that they are a serious gamer should play the void. It actually really pushes gaming to the edge of what we know it to be.
I never said it was the best game ever, but do you know why those things you mentioned sell? Because they are good and people want them. And sorry for being so crazy in my posts, I just don't get some of you guys at all.

Start Tropics is actually one of my favourite games for the NES if not my number one favourite.

How about that getting a sex-change, eh?
Yeah I played through it again a few months back I never really thought about it when I was a kid. It made me laugh so hard and really surprised me now that I actually understand what it was saying :p
You always get much more out of those games. You didn't realize how tough it actually was as a kid, either, eh?

Have you played Banjo Tooie over? There are so many innuendos in that game, I'm surprised a group of parents didn't rise up in righteous anger. Now I know why my dad was laughing so much as I played.
Banjo I actually remember being very toungue in cheek that is one that I played with some of the kids I babysat. It was funny watching them play not really understanding what was actually being said while I was laughing so hard.

I do have to say going back and playing some of the older games I can't help but scratch my head and wonder how in the world I beat it when I was younger.

Hmmm one game everyone must play, well I would say Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers 3 or Super Mario World but there not easy to obtain anymore, in fact no game is easy to obtain, you need to spend a lot of money on a console of your choosing or computer to play any so I'm gonna recommend one for each of the recent consoles. Well actually I can't because I only have a Wii and a computer, see I told you.
