Psychonauts got me back into gaming, and it made me sure that Yahtzee could be good towards a game, and he was completely just spewing out random hatred.

And I did fall in love with the game before Yatzee started making ZP.

Ocarina of Time and Bioshock are musts for me. Spiderman 2 and Batman: Arkham Asylum to show that comic IP can be turned into great games.

The original Spyro the Dragon. I've never met any gamer who doesn't like 3D platformers, and Spyro, in my eyes, is the definitive series for this genre (the first 3, not the ones made after Insomniac ditched the project).

Also, I'm gonna go with OP and say that everyone must play at least one Zelda game.

Something more modern: Mirror's Edge. Nostalgia is great and all, but I believe that we need some modern games on the list. I'd like to say Quake 2, but then I'd be just as guilty of nostalgic feelings.

Try Thief: The Dark Project and Thief: The Metal Age. Infinitely better than Deadly Shadows.
