Game Series that Need to Die
Metal Gear Solid - I thought they killed it already?
Halo - I'm sick of fricken fanboys
Games made by SEGA - they've proven time and again they're incompetent developers
Any Halo rip off series - I thought they killed it already?
Any game series that recently released a game with "4" at the end of it
Game Series that Need Revived
Skies of Arcadia - It was a JRPG that was fun and original. It needs a sequal
Power Stone - Very fun and original fighting game, a genre that has seen better days. Capcom REALLY needs to pick this one up and make a sequel with online play.
Sonic Battle and other good Sonic series that were not made by SEGA - In the past 7 years, the best of Sonic's games were not made by Sonic Team. I honestly believe SEGA should just outsource all of their franchises to other studios. Those studios not only make better games, but also they're more faithful to the series.

There's a lot of World War II that remains un-touched by shooters.
Also, Square needs to stop making Final Fantasy. Its very clear now that they're out of ideas and just mishmashing older Final Fantasy games together hoping to get a hit.
Actually, Square's been doing that since Final Fantasy 7. Nearly all of Final Fantasy 7's major story points and themes were ripped off from Final Fantasy 6. 10 borrows a lot of its mythos from FF7. 10-2 took the job systems of FF3 and FF5. 12 borrows pretty much all of its metaverse from FFTA and some plot elements of FFT. 13 Versus appears to take the sacred crystal macGuffins of FF4.
At least you got to hand it to them about one thing: they're pretty much trying to create a new game everytime, and that's something most developers avoid. Most developers rely on accepted characters and previous stories to milk money from a franchise. Square, on the other hand, makes a new world for every Final Fantasy...at least they used to. Now they're making a bunch of games for every new world they make. I guess that makes sense, but it kind of ruins the charm of the whole thing.
