Jet Set Radio needs to be revived.
This...Devs make games for money, and as long as the repetitive adventures of sonic/mario/master chief/link are making money, those devs will make more games of the same nature.mspencer82 said:It would be nice if some series would end so that their developers could start working on new and original ideas, but no franchise needs to 'die'. There's no point in it. If the developer wants to make the game and there's enough demand for it, then they should go ahead and make the game. Just because a few of us don't like a franchise doesn't mean that it needs to end.
To the haters out there: like it or not, Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Halo, etc sell. In fact, they sell very well. Just because you don't like the games doesn't mean everyone else doesn't like them either. Here's a hard pill to swallow, developers make games for money. I know it's hard for you to wrap your mind around it, but some of these games that you despise actually make a ton of money for the developers. They aren't going to let something like that go, it's just common sense.
It just amazes me that people on internet forums think they know better than the developers and the millions of people buying games in these successful franchises.
We Know they make a ton of money, but sometimes when a series gets repetetive and/or unoriginal, or any multitude of reasons actually, we dont want there to be more just because there are a bunch of fanboys jumping on it, take mario for example, it has so many bastardized (can I say that?) offspring from it, that no-one really cares anymore and people just get fed up, but it's a classic and it has aqquired so many fanboys over the years that nintendo don't want to give it up because it is like a constant IV of money being injected into them and they don't want to come down off the high even though there are millions of drooling fanboys that would keep them afloat for a thousand lifetimes.mspencer82 said:To the haters out there: like it or not, Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Halo, etc sell.
