What game/game series do you consider yourself an "Expert" at?

I would consider myself a Psychonauts expert, considering how many times I've beaten that game. Hell, I can get through Black Velvetopia and Meat Circus with ease (flexes muscles). Despite that, I still find new things every time I play through that game.

I'm very knowledgeable about The Binding of Isaac, and could tell you what a significant percentage of the items do, as well as when to use them and how you should spend your money. Despite that I'm terrible at that game, and am only really successful in it due to my large knowledge of the mechanics and sheer luck.

8 years of Dota and I can say I know some shit about that game. Not really an expert though, since seeing some things pro gamers do at International makes my jaw drop.

Also, Front Mission 3 and Dino Crisis 2. I've played those games too many freaking times to memorize every little thing.

I'm pretty damn good at the Devil May Cry games, though seeing stuff like the Truestyle Tournament or Kail's combo vids makes me hesitant to call myself an "expert."

I'm a damn fine TF2 player in the classes I'm good at (Scout/Demo/Medic/Spy). Not competitive although I try to lobby once in a while, but I'm normally the best player on my team during pubs.

I don't know, Mario, I suppose. There are probably people much better than me, but I did 100% Super Mario World and the GBA version of Mario 3 and I also beat the Luigi Purple Coin challenge in Mario Galaxy so I can't be too bad.

none, i am terrible at video games. though if i had to choose something i am pretty decent at is either The Legend of Zelda (3D titles only), Final Fantasy VII, or Tales of the Abyss (in which i have barely pulled off any of the Mystic Artes, once i had completely played the game with total disregard to the phonic circles and never did a mystic arte)

Wow, no one's claimed the Mass Effect series yet? Well then I got dibs on that! :p

Seriously, I've spent wwwwaaaaaaayyyyy too many hours of my life playing the ME series. 9 characters on ME 1 and 3, 6 on ME 2. Each character has at least two playthroughs, totally 60+ hours, with my favorite characters/classes having up to 4 playthroughs. And I'm pretty sure my Infiltrator has been through ME3 at least 7 times. I think it's safe to say I know everything there is to know about those games.

Going old-school, I'll say AvP2 for the PC. I know pretty much everything there is to know about that game's story, and I was god damn good at the multiplayer...so good that I was often accused of cheating since I could move around as a predator without showing the little outline that appears when you're cloaked and moving as a predator. It's a combination of knowing that the slower you move, the less the outline shows up (so crouch-walking makes you nearly invisible) and the fact that when that game was "popular" (though I use that term loosely since it's pretty niche, but had a pretty good sized community of die-hard players) most people didn't have good graphics cards...those that did could still spot me if they were paying attention. Never used the shoulder cannon unless someone was using a smart gun...all I needed were my nets and a spear. Every now and then depending on the level I'd use the speargun.

I also like to think of myself as an expert at Tenchu Z...you truly must have the patience of a ninja to be good at that game, and I really like plotting infiltrations on buildings, finding the best plan of attack to pick the guards off one by one without getting spotted.

I was actually pretty good at the multiplayer in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. I got to level 50 and normally managed to make the top three in all my games.
AC:Rs was harder, as they made the smoke bomb a late unlock (basically a necessity item) but once I had it I was quite good at that as well.
AC3 I just gave up on. The smoke bomb is pretty much the last item and I keep failing without it.

Ace Combat (the original AC) 4,5,6 and 0. I have all acft unlocked with all colours and all missions comoleted with S rank on Ace mode... all of them! :)

I have never played it online though... I have no idea how my piloting prowess stands up against real players... I imagine it would be like any other game; I'll be good at single player, but suck online! :/

Probably the Metal Gear Solid series, particularly #2. Once I finally realized that the enemies aren't the all powerful god-machines that I thought they were the first time I played it (I was a kid and stealth didn't apply), I basically started literally running through the game.

Otherwise, I'm fairly decent at bullet hells. Nowhere near master, but I'm decent.

Oh, and I'm an absolute beast at any turn based strategy game as long as I actually apply myself to it.

The Elder Scrolls. I only played Morrowind, Obivion and Skyrim, but I played those a lot, and I did a lot of reading, both in-game and on wikis, about the lore of the series, so I am at the point where I would very well call myself an expert in that regard (silly as it might sound :p).

I am also pretty good with the Fallout series (played all games at least four times save for Fallout 3), Kotor II (I played that game like eight times even before the restoration patch and know every nook and cranny of it), Final Fantasy VIII (I once wrote a guide for it detailing how to get Squall's ultimate weapon in the first disk with 255 strength, including lots of card-game and grinding) and the Prince of Persia series (my friend was really into them at one point and we had this self-imposed challenge of going through the entire series without getting hit once. he actually did it, I only got close, but I still think it is a pretty good achievement).

If I would have to say, the games I really get into and get the technicals down are generally the ones that I can break. I just like it when, through careful planning and unorthodox tricks, I can cheat the game's own system and break its balance. There's just something oddly satisfying about that. :p

I am fairly proud of my abilities at old-school shooters, Doom in particular. I'm better at some than others, but I can't think of one where I play on anything lower than the next to hardest option, whether it be "Ultra-Violence" or "I Have Pet Names for My Grenades".

Also, I beat the original Silent Hill in one sitting with a perfect 10 star ranking and only 2 deaths.

Kingdom Hearts. The gameplay, the lore and plot, basically everything. I do a fair bit of loremastering when people ask questions on the KHInsider forums. That said, I'm not exactly MLG pro strats when it comes to playing it. I can't do a Critical Mode LV1 run (yet). Or even beat certain games on Proud. :c But someday!

Also the PS1 Spyro games. I'm so fucking good at those. I never replay without doing it 100% (except Year of the Dragon, because the Sasquatch Six are just... so uncool...). And the next time I replay, it's either speedrun practice or a no-death run.

Metal Gear Solid franchise. The whole story is my bed time stories. lol.
I'm running through that series for the first time right now. So far I'm not having trouble (middle of MGS2), so I'm sort of wondering if the plot really is as crazy as people say. As stated previously in this post, I've got the inner workings of Kingdom Hearts down to a T, so maybe I'm just good at ridiculous stories?

Demon's and Dark Souls. I've yet to be matched in terms of PvE, a couple of Youtubers aside.
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. After 1800 hours, I've done everything in that game, and I've done it solo.
Final Fantasy X. Over multiple playthroughs, I know every nook and cranny of that game.

I wouldnt say im an expert on any game series, but i noticed to be pretty good on competetive shooters. i played counterstrike for like 2 weeks before i got bored of it and i was killing people so easily i was accused of aimhack. thing is, i dont really like FPS that much to begin with and rarely play.
I love turn based strategy, and i guess im better than the average guy, but im nowhere near expert, like for example "civ fanatics" are.
I also were pretty damn good at SAMP (San Andreas Multiplayer) and had one of the highest ratings considering points/hour in multiple servers, even though i played on a cmputer that ran it at 15-20fps so i always had to guess ahead where my PC is going to lag and avoid invisible walls (not loading fast enough). i guess that lead me to memorize the map and mechanics by heart and thus i ended up wining races even with lower top speeds due to slow PC. I still like that game but i dont ahve time for it for the last 3 years. so im probably very rusty now.
