most MMOs that i have played. i will usually spend about 40%(barely thought about that, it just sounds right) just screwing around in cities seeing what the disigners spent so much time and effort on that no one notices.(or lack of effort, like the under stormwind glitch)

Wow... no one mentioned the eons spent on the ocean in The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. That was rather dull.

Fallout, Prototype... so much fun <3 and Blazblue, hours spent just chatting with friends in the lobby

If grinding counts, FFVII. If not, Metal Gear Solid 3. I can't even remember what I was doing, but I spent AGES doing absolutely nothing.

three way tie for Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Mount & Blade

It's sad I'm the only person in my town who knows of Mass Effect or M&B

Saints Row 2. I'd put on the "invincibility", "low gravity", "everyone trying to kill you" and "drunk pedestrians" cheats on and spend hours failing to dodge cars and being flattened by ice-cream vans coming out of nowhere.

Oblivion has to get my nod. My Chorrol house had staffs, swords, amulets, gems, my own personal wine collection, and my personal favorite; a small library of books in it.

Besides the many-times-mentioned Oblivion/Morrowind and GTA series, I'm going to throw in just about any city builder, but especially SimCity 4.

There's a point where the city is pretty much running itself and I'll just take a step back and watch it...or, if I want the city to run up some funds, I'll park a stuffed animal on my chair (what? She's watching the game for me!), go have lunch, and come back to it afterward. The city only burned to the ground once...

I would say Age of Conan. I could just walk around for ages looking at the beautiful scenery and listening the music

I love games that allow faffing about (or am I allowed to say fannying about?) Star Ocean Till The End Of Time has endless hours hours of meandering round towns, inventing, recruiting inventors etc *sighs*.................
