What game has the most anti-climactic or downright terrible ending? *SPOILERS!!!!!*

Although not as Bad as Halo 2.
Made even worse by the fact Halo 3 doesn't pick up where you left off, I want to meet the man who made that decision so I can beat him unconcious.

Halo 3 does finish off where number 2 left off - bar like 30 minutes of the chiefs life I guess, I mean the covenant ship was heading to Earth and the chief was on it, then he's in a forest, quiet clearly this would mean he fell or jumped off the ship and crashed here

No. CoD4 has one of the best endings in a game. Sure, its shitty that Price and Gaz die but they die in fucking style. Especially Gaz, he pushs himself up to the gunbarrel in one last "Fuck you" to what-the-hells-his-name?

Not saying I 100% agree, but COD4 definetly did not have a great ending, good but not great.

Back on topic, I'd say the ending for either Prince of Persia or Haze. Prince makes forces you to do something you really don't want to, and Haze. Haze is just making you say WTF until your bad mouth resembles Hitler's Filthy arse.

I still think that Pariah for the original Xbox had a terrible ending. You fight entier armies to rescue someone, and when you get there, you are confronted by like 3 guys, so you shoot yourself in the head. I mean, come on, I fought forty times that amount to get there, you mean I can't just kill them and leave?

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It goes through all this work and then the last mask does the final boss fight for you.

If it's too easy, then do what I did and play without it. It makes things much more interesting.

No it doesn't, 2 ends and the ships in orbit/heading to earth. 3 begin and he's dropping off the ship into the atmosphere.

What the hell happened in the intervening time? Did he just walk around a covenant warship, the covenant warship without any of the crew noticing? Did they just not bother with the most feared human soldier in existence being aboard their ship? Did they sit and have coffee with him?

How the hell did he get off the ship seeing as at the end of 2 he had no obvious way out. They just scammed what should have been the first level out so Marvel could make a Halo comic about the intervening period. Corporate cynicism at it's finest.

Is that...Is that the credits?! WTF!!! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!!! THATS NOT A FUCKING ENDING!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!! GOD FUCKING DAMIT!!!"

This really isn't an exageration. That ending pissed me off, because it wasn't one. It was the gaming equivalent of the Surprano's ending in the middle of a fucking sentence.

EDIT: I've got a better one. EVERY SINGLE ONE, minus maybe a handful. Games really don't have great endings, especially when its part of a huge epic trilogy or series.
