never really notice any that bother me. Only ones I can remember being "displeased" with are the few JRPG games with Japanese songs that have actual lyrics. Not my cup of tea.

On the flip side, I've actually been thinking a lot of the commercials for recent games have been pretty damn good. Borderlands, Dragon Age, and Splinter Cell: Conviction being the ones I remember the best. I'm all for having actual music in our games.

All NES games that literally have less than 5 tracks. (They are shitty games anyway, the atrocious music just adds to the shittiness).

But THE worst butcher I ever heard, was this slaughtered Amiga port of Final Fight. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsVdAQxmto8]

Pretty much all japanese games have terrible music.
Most of gaming's most well known tracks are Japanese from the classic tunes in Mario to One Winged Angel... Obvious troll is obvious

Thanks for that. Now I need an advil....

OT: hmm, worst music in a game?......
Fallout 3.
All you had was radio sations.
They could have at leas elt you get some good music on there.
i mean, I appreciate 1950's jazz and swing as much as the next guy(seriously, three dog and his station were the life of the game for me) but other than that, all I got was some crappy violin music station that I had to do a ridiculously hard ques to get.

The minute I read him downing Fallout 3's music, I took this as a troll thread.

I will continue to disregard it legitimacy this thread may have.
I had similar thoughts, Fallout 3 has some of my favorite music in any game.

Plenty of games have terrible music, but Morrowind is the only game I know that has an intro song that refuses to be sung by human vocal cords for what it is. Everytime I hum that son-of-a-*****, someone blurts out, "Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye"! If they don't say that, then they automatically assume that I'm singing Pirates of the Caribbean. I'll admit, it does sound alot like both of those when you hum it quickly, but...ARGH!

Here's a link in case you haven't heard it in a while or need a refresher.

Now, you only need to listen to the first fifty seconds. Try to hum to yourself the song from 0:08 until 0:50. Once you have that down, hum it more quickly. Now look me in the eyes and tell me that doesn't sound like a bunch of rum addicted pirates or a song written by the hippy Garrett Scott. Look at me and say it, damn you! -F

I'm surprised no one said sonic heroes, I feel like that's when the music in sonic games started becoming unbearable. I would also have to say Devil May Cry 4's single faux-metal song that repeated every time you fought anything made that game's soundtrack awful.

Also I don't know if I would ever say worst but No More Heroes 2's soundtrack was a great disappointment for me, and considering I enjoyed the soundtrack of all the other Suda 51 games (same composer I believe) I was probably the most disappointed ever by that game soundtrack.

If such a game called Final Fantasy X-2 existed, it would have terrible, terrible music. Now that I think about it, most games I've played (and remember) have pretty good music. Or at least tolerable.

Crash Twinsanity... on one hand, it's incerdibly innovative to have an entirely acapella soundtrack with no lyrics, but on the other hand it gets SO fucking annoying after a bit.

I for one, however, hate the music in Sonic, especially the 3D games. Especially the ones where Sonic sings.
Wait they have Sonic sing? Oh god I'm glad I have never heard that.

I'm going to have to say Half-Life 2 or Cruis'n USA, ah hell most racing games have horrible songs in them.

It sounds like R2-D2 after binging on alcohol and getting struck by lightning.
