In terms of a sense of actual accomplishment, probably Frequency on PS2. I worked hard to hone the skills necessary to beat that game, and I don't normally bother working hard at games.

In terms of satisfaction, I'd have to say Final Fantasy VIII, it was a long journey with a conclusion to the story that totally blew me away, being the incurable romantic that I am.

I could never beat that for the SNES! I get stuck at the jungle part where you have to jump up the logs coming down the waterfall. I might have to try it again. Glad to know SOMEONE could beat it!
I'd probably have a lot of trouble with it nowadays, but back then I knew the timing and order really well.
Scar is a pushover in the final level.

I've been a bit on an SNES craze so I'm hoping that the other games will help put me in the mindset. I imagine Scar would be impossible, but I guess that makes sense.

Dragon Warrior 3, Final Fantasy 1, 4 and 6 from way back when. A little more recently.. probably Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox.

And I suppose beating DA:O a few days ago was pretty cool. Not that is was overly difficult, but just because it's been a long time since I've played and finished a game I had to put that much time into. Of course, as soon as the credits had rolled I started again with a different character. Heh

I always keep the Genesis as my fallback when I inevitably get bored with modern games. I can honestly say I've spent more time on it than any other console.
Just bitchslap him a few times, he steps back and then he walks forward for some more bitchslaps. I died a lot more times from the level itself.

Beating Red in Pokemon Silver. I look forward to doing it again in the upcoming rereleases. Kingdom Hearts is a close second.

Final Fantasy 10, no game comes anywhere near it in terms of story and satisfaction.

Duke Nukem 3D, it felt so good to see that alien freak go down and for Duke to punt its eye out of its fucking skull.

More recently Mass Effect, because the entire scene of fighting up the side of the tower while the space battle raged around it really got my blood pumping.

Shame that the actual fight with Saren was kind of annoying and a bit of a letdown for me.

Except VII and XII, which had better stories. Well, better WRITING at least. But yes X was awesome. I'm running through it again trying to fill th whole sphere grid for every character.

Anyway, for feeling of accomplishment, Halo 2 on Legendary. I am not very good at Halo (although, oddly, Tartarus is way easier for me on legendary than other difficulty levels...) Runner up: The Bard's Tale on PC

One I was most pleased with when I finished... Metal Gear Solid series. They all just end so magnificently.

G-Lock on Gamegear,
Neverhood: Skull Monkeys (In the last part of the last level, it is normal to expend 30 or 40 lives on the same bit).
Full Pipe (mainly because the protagonist looks so cheerful after getting back to his bedside).

Solitaire when I was REALLY, REALLY young. We're talking like... I dunno, three? When the cards went jumping around the screen, oh. My. God. It was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen.

Then I got older and learned about the Internet. Needless to say, cards don't excite me anymore.

Legend of zelda Oot and super mario 64. I collapsed when I beat the 3rd bowser. I did the same thing on zelda when I beat dark link... I miss my childhood...

Sonic 1 on the Mega Drive, the first game I completed.

Mass |Effect, Dragon Age and Fallout 3 are all tied for a close second.
