So wayyyy back in the day I got this awesome game on PS1 about giant fighting robots that you got to use to blow up other giant fighting robots. I was pretty much hooked.

Since then, I've bought every Armored Core game that has come out.

Prince of Persia. I remember being 8 and having to beg my mum and dad, persuading them that I was mature enough to play a 12+ game.

The one game franchise, that I have always followed since I had a PC,
is the Total War Series. It always has been and always will be awesome.
Except if, you know, they make a game that sucks. Like Empire.... damn.

I have tons of games but I only have a few series. The list gets even smaller when i exclude the fairly recent ones...
Halo: Bought Halo CE in 2004-ish, went back and got Halo 2, pre ordered Halo 3 and ODST and currently have Halo Reach pre ordered.
Pokemon: Got the Red version, then Gold and Silver, Ruby and Emerald, and Leaf Green. I never bought a DS so i stopped there.
Smash Bros: I got the original for my N64, Melee for the Gamecube, and Brawl for my Wii.
Elder Scrolls: The first one I played was Morrowind, then I went back and played Daggerfall, and I bought Oblivion on release date.

Anyone who knows me already knows this:

The Myst series. All five core games, plus Uru and its expansions, multiple stints on Uru Live/Until Uru/Myst Online: Uru Again, as well as the books, both in single editions and omnibus.

Call of Duty used to be one of the series close to my heart, but that has been spoiled.

Call of Duty as well but its been ruined for me. Half Life Series is my favorite overall, first played HL when I was 7 on my dads PC.

Hitman, Splinter Cell (although Conviction is kinda disappointing), Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, God of War, Jedi Knight, Bioshock, Half-Life, Mass Effect, TES, Fallout

You think this is a lot? This is only what I can be bothered to write right now.

Fable, Super Smash Brothers and Kingdom Hearts. I followed Pokemon for a time when I was younger, but dropped it after Ruby/Sapphire/Colosseum.

Mario would probably be the biggest series that I've followed and played. Other than that I can't really think of any others that have more than two or three games in the series that I've completely played through.

Resident Evil...god why did 5 have to happen and ruin all that was good about that game. The story set fire to the series and threw it out a window.

I really believe res evil (1-3) are perfect. I even played the outbreak series which were amazing, no matter what people say. Fan boy- I think so!

Metal Gear Solid as well...I enjoyed the fact they invented a game I didnt really have to play.

Probably Splinter Cell. Alright, so the first one I got was Chaos Theory but I remember the original coming out. I went back to complete the two I skipped and have subsequently completed every SC game since then. Even the PS2 version of Double Agent and Essentials on PSP. I don't know if its because I was blown away by it at the time, but Chaos Theory is arguably still the best game in the series.

Bioshock. Though, I dunno if it counts since following it from the beginning would mean being a System Shock fan, but I wasn't old enough to think when that was around.
