What game would like to see a movie made of?

I think any fire emblem game could be redone into a movie in the style of Lord of the Rings.

Golden Sun would make a great two part movie. (Three parts even!)

Persona 3

and Xenosaga. Half the game is cut scenes as it is.

Realize though that any game becoming a movie, to make it good, is going to have to be very very heavily redone.

Freespace would make an ace movie, also half life, grim fandango and Nocturne

so im not the only one who played nocturne, nice, that game had nice characters and some ideas, but simply didnt have a gameplay that made you wish to play a 2nd time.

oh come Nocturne was ace, Al Capone and his army of Frankenstein Gangsters was great fun

well i must admit, burn vampires in a second with the sun light weapon thing was really fun.

man i really wish that a direct secuel would be made, see what Stranger would do after discovering that the whole spookhouse agency was destroyed

half life/portal (they are in the same world anyway, hence, aperture science is in direct competition with black mesa if you looked at the presentations in the offices while playing portal)

Oddworld, basically, based around abe's oddessy, munch's oddessy, etc.

and i have to agree, halo, just cos it would be a comedy at best. ^^

Vampire: the masquerade, just that game, cos it was amazing.

and unreal tournament, just cos i think it'd be interesting to see what they'd do with it.

I disagree with game based movies because when you remove the interactivity and length from a video game story(which is what they are built upon), you get something mediocre. Plus when the public gets their eyes on such crap, it makes the games industry in general look bad.

The only game i would care to see as a film is Metal Gear Solid. And thats already being done. So I'm satisfied. And Uwe Boll really doesnt need any more work...

I was thinking the same thing, it's got a very broad world and there's a lot you could do with it, it's also one of the more interesting apocalyptic settings around, what with the ghouls and super mutants and retro-futurism.

God of War done in the style of 300 would be intense, as long as - like that movie - they don't take themselves too seriously and focus on flashy visual and blood.

Yeah, it was based on a ride at disneyland. I dunno where you get the Monkey island thing from. If you have been on the ride you see all the sites and stuff which they actually go to in the movie. Meh.
