any game which freezes after prolonged playing without saving.
This is probably the most frequent reason for me. That, or games without an autosave, where I haven't learned to f5 like a ************. Losing upwards of two hours of gameplay for any reason, including my own stupidity, has made me quit games before.

Final fantasy X-2 . I hate that game so much , it makes me physically ill and angry . I'm not even joking . I finished it once when it came out , i'm not playing that game ever again .

Unless you mean online games , then UMVC3 . I noticed something. I went to a local tournament and came in 7th . When you play against real people ( that know what their doing ) they don't mash , i'll even say sometimes they are scared to press a button ( so many frame traps ) , but online holy shit do people mash . And i don't mean they mash special moves , i don't care about spammers , i mean , they ate just Mashing A to get a hit . People don't do that in real life .

Minecraft..nothing has ever made me as angry as Minecraft. But it was only once. I was smart about it, though. I immediately turned AWAY from my computer monitor and decided maul a cardboard box conveniently residing in my room at the time. Then I took a break like a sensible human being, got back into the game and...if I remember correctly..found my stuff. HAPPY END

Oh, and Borderlands 1. Sometimes in 2, but mostly in 1. I was a perfect level for the job, and had my little brother with me, and somehow those damn skag riders and dynamite midgets were raping our buttholes. I didn't get physical, but it's one of my most intense rages, and it killed off my Borderlands brotherly bonding time.

I get really involved in the storyline of any game I'm playing, so if a character I like dies or my PC gets one-upped by the Dragon or the Big Bad, I start cursing and threatening the screen with dismemberment which seems weird to anyone else.

Gameplay-wise, recently I've been stuck on Catherine and Rayman Origins.
Catherine, it's fucking block puzzles and I refuse to succumb to a guide. I CAN DO IT! 'dies again and weeps in pain'
Rayman Origins is a test of reaction and timing. Sadly, I'm no longer 5 years old, so the harder race levels always end in a rage quit.

Dota 2- I know the usually jazz "My team does something dumb and lose me the game herp derp" but what makes me really get mad at dota is when i screw up. Like I feed like a boss, make a bad call when i find myself the shot caller or complete screw up on my item build (i thought i could skip BKB this game); i can take the failure of others fine for the most part but I hate the games failure being my fault. But this is a core part of dota I have become better becasue of my failure its most likely the best kind of anger a game can give you.

What's the definition of physical anger? I thought emotions were more of psycological things?

My anger at games is usually more just frustration.

But the one time I got really mad that I can remember at the moment was back in the day when playing Footman Frenzy in Warcraft III when my two Danish TEAM-MATES(!!!) desided to destroy my base when I said I was Swedish.
Got me really mad.

Super Meat Boy.

I have played a ton of games that are notorious for leading people down the path of frustration such as Call of Duty and Dark Souls, but I've managed those relatively well.

Super MeatBoy is the game that made me destroy a controller though. I start out a little slow, die a few times because I'm still getting into it. Then I reach the runners' high after a good few levels. Everything goes smoothly, and whenever I swiftly reach the end of a relatively hard one it makes me feel all the more awesome.

And then I'm starting to lose my touch. I make dumb mistakes, keep dying at that one single little jump because I don't want to wait for the enemy to completely pass by becasue it moves at a snails pace. I finally get past it and die again, and am once again stuck on the same spot. I'm getting frustrated and start clenching my controller harder.

And then after the eleventy billionth death I snapped, roared and threw the poor controller with all my might towards the unsuspecting wall at my left side.

'twas a sad day that day.
I 100 percent completed that game :)

Most recently, it would be DayZ.

A buggy mess where items are constantly lost to the void, hackers are everywhere, and by my estimation, 90% of players shoot on site.

If a friend hadn't bought it for me, I'd consider it a complete waste of money, and I was on the verge on uninstalling not 2 days ago.

Playing Tomb Raider I died some 20-30 times on the same QTE chain because on the PC, it doesn't actually show you which key to press for half of the QTE prompts. You're just expected to guess?

Also playing SpecOps: The Line pissed me off because of some terrible, terrible level design and gameplay towards the end.

It's really that thing where a game stops being challenging and starts being boring because of fake-difficulty.
That happened to me in some game too, sometimes it wouldn't show, sometimes it showed the wrong buttons and sometimes it showerd the PS3 buttons (this was the 350 version). That was incredibly annoying. QTE are never fun, but done wrong they are simply horrible.

More more recently, Assassin's Creed III. I'm considering just giving up on the game about two hours in because it's so tediously dull. If I didn't feel compelled to go for the often retarded full sync goals there would be literally nothing to do in this game: just walk towards your target, watch a cutscene, end of mission; lather rinse and repeat until end of game.

The actual anger stems from the aforementioned optional objectives though, i.e. the only part of the game that is even remotely challenging. I understand how goals like 'don't kill anyone' or 'remain undetected' would make sense when you're aiming for historical accuracy, but 'don't get wet'? 'Don't nudge any civilians'? Who the fuck noted that one down in a history book.
This! How can I not nudge a prat stood infront of me when stupid scripting makes NPC's appear from thin air?
(Only good thing about that last Assassin's Creed game was the naval battles IMO!)

I nearly broke my hand trying to get the S License on Gran Turismo 3. The test with the Toyota One with no TCS or ABS. I tried it so many times and ended up punching the wall. I got the license in the end, at least.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for it's online verses mode.

I love this game, but seriously, damage physics are inconsistent with the main game, it's UNBELIEVABLY laggy, and you have far too few item slots. It's infuriating getting behind cover and then getting killed 3 seconds later after as, according to the game, I'm still 5 meters away from where I am now.

Battlefield 3 multiplayer. It's a good idea- large-scale battles with vehicles and stuff, as I usually play CoD for shooting multiplayer, but shit is the gameplay poor compared to CoD. It's jarring, definitely not smooth, and shooting at an enemy seems to give a random chance of hitting or passing straight through them without doing damage. Such a shit engine. I really hope Mass Effect 4 decides not to use the Frostbite 4 after all.

GTA: San Andreas. Not the gameplay so much (Which is passable) but the absolutely dreadful main character.
He's a hypocrite who runs around doing dreadful things for no good reason.
For example, a couple of builders call his sister (Who literally is a prostitute) a hooker. What does sane big brother do?
Run into the building site, murder everyone there and bury the (Completely innocent) foreman alive. That was the point where I stopped playing. It's just inferior to GTA 4 in every way.

I writing this after playing a bit of Blops 2 online and realised that playing it online reveals a sort of Jeyckl and Hyde in me. I mean I have never gotten so angry at a anything in my life, It gets to the point that I'm roaring the house down even tho I'm a pretty mellow guy.

I don't know whether its the cheap deaths by shotguns or the campers all the other cheap tricks or even when you got killed knowing that you should have made that kill shot and messed it up.

What I'm asking is there any game that you can think of that invokes a sort of pent up rage that explodes when you play the game I'm talking any game not just COD online tho.
I'm generally pretty tolerant with games. Even horribly frustrating ones, I don't get that annoyed with retrying stuff over and over.

But

BLOPS 2 pissed me off. Not the multiplayer, the campaign.
Not the gampelay, the plot. Oh god, the offensively stupid plot. I actually ragequit on a cutscene.

Ass Creed 3 Rage Snip
This. Oh so very much this. I was already angry enough at the game's stupidity with the stripped down control system. One chase sequence through the streets made me rage so much because every time I tried to close the gap Connor decided to throw himself up the nearest wall and cling there. And how, for a game about being an Assassin, it lets you assassinate very few people by yourself. And that damn Charles Lee chase... if it wasn't for it being the final sequence of the game, I wouldn't have finished it. Similarly to the person I quoted, I finished it solely to yell at the game and declare that I had indeed finished it. But yes, that chase... controllers got thrown, Connor and any actual person who happened to be nearby got yelled at... I don't think I've ever used so many curses so frequently as when finishing that chase. Possibly the only time I have been so overwhelmingly furious at a game.

Edit: Remembered another one. In Kingdom Hearts, the Riku fight in Hollow Bastion on Proud Mode. With a long, unskippable cutscene beforehand. I could talk along with that cutscene word for word by the time I managed to finish that fight. I think it was more that I couldn't skip the cutscene that game me a resigned kind of rage trying to move past that place.

I have a fairly unique one.

Star Ruler, a space 4X game.

My problem with it is mostly that, well I suck, but not even the normal kind of suck. This is a strategy game. I'm good at strategy. I run rings around the hardest AI in similar games.

In Star Ruler, the "trivial" AI absolutely destroys me.
This, in and of itself is frustrating, but worse is the fact that it seems to happen for absolutely no reason.
Looking at the in-game graphs, I out research everyone else, or out produce them, or have some crazy edge over them, but when that edge is tested it breaks in two and I have no idea why.

The forums of the game are littered with players who find the hardest AI to be easy to beat even on "cheating" mode, yet I feel like the game is rigged. My tech will be running circles around theirs, but when my hyper advanced warship faces off against an AI ship, suddenly all I researched was "construct vessel out of explodium"

Just crazy frustrating.

Also I still rage about ME3, refuse to even play the series at this point.
