Sir Terry Pratchett.

That is all. Okay, later it was Monty Python, Larry games, Polish comedies (they used to be better...) and tv series.

My sense of humour is basically a funny version of sarcasm.

And when i get hyper i will run down the street screaming and waving my arms.

Cartoons, internet humor, Black Adder and people making valid points whilst still being amusing. I am a novice at the last one, but I'm trying.

If dinosaurs still existed in this day and age, we would have the most awesome steaks ever.

Not quite...

I'm gonna have to say it was Mystery Science Theater 3000.
I grew up watching that show and still watch em.
Its how I got my sideshow commentary skills.

My sarcasm and stirring sense of humour came from dad, which in turn came from his dad. Grandpa has a lot to answer for. I just tend to find things funny in general though, I have a rather non-serious outlook to life. The only time I don't tend to find things funny are customers at work being funny (I always think they're serious) and sometimes over the internet as text based sarcasm and humour can be somewhat lost on me. I guess I'm the sort of person who needs to hear something in order for it to be truly funny to me. Although I do use lol a lot, but that reflects my naturally happy personality.

My sense of humor is very multifaceted, I love absurdist surreal humor ala Monty Python, I love wordy humor ala Stranger Than Fiction and Juno, I love puns ala Spider Robinson and I have a very strong sense of mischiff that I get from my father.

Though overall I am NOT a very serious person.

It started when I was 6 and I mentioned the chicken crossing the road was actually a sitting duck. Its a neat little coping mechanism for all the guilt and rage I felt as growing up for whatever reason.

Also, yo' mama.

Well, in more recent years, my sense of humor has been somewhat shaped by more sort of intellectual and referential sources, stuff like The Venture Bros. and Patton Oswalt's standup. Although I love that sort of stuff, I do love more just random and silly stuff too, like for example, Brian Regan's standup and South Park - I really like and appreciate the former, but the latter is what makes me really laugh out loud.

Years and years of getting verbally abused by my "friends" and family. Lots of emotional scarring and crap loads of introspection. It's turned me into a cynical, narcissistic ass. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Fuck you all, very, very much.
We're like.. exactly the same person. ;_; 'Cept the bit about the abuse from the family though, mine love me a great big huggy bunch.
...I can't even begin to express how wrong you seriously are. I didn't have to read any further than the crying emote to know that to be an absolute truth. And here I thought the only absolutes were death and taxes, but you certainly proved that one wrong. Know that from my end I'm giving you a big ol' thumbs up.

I wish I knew, I could go back and give them a smack!

I'm cursed with a funny bone that becomes particularly well tickled when something totally and utterly offensive is said unexpectedly. It's led to many a slap and the bemused and aggrovated expressions of old ladies faces the world over.

Also the time I called my girlfriend a C**T infront of all her friends made me laugh til I was in pain but it did not go down too well with the crowd...
