The best thing to come out of Canada, is The Trailer Park Boys - damn I miss that show... those guys re-invented Canadian comedy IMO. I liked Kids in the Hall as well... Canada has it's own way of doing things, and doesn't care how annoying that is to Americans 
The industrial revolution, Newtonian physics, Shakespeare and most good rock music (The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, The Kinks, The Smiths, Elvis Costello, The Sex Pistols, The Cure, Radiohead.... etc.)

OP: Founded your country, created civilization in half the world and generally been responsible for colonizing most countries outside Europe. Sooo, in a way, allll your achievments are belong to us. Yaay for the English.

William Penn, who was actually a resident of the town I've lived in my entire life (and I've been in his house which is now a museum of the town) pretty much created what is now known as the state of Pennsylvania and wrote many treatises that inspired the likes of Thomas Jefferson and his ideas and principles on how to govern Pennsylvania were, in one way or another, used in the creation of the US Constitution.
Why did this come into being? Because at the time, Penn was a practising Quaker and that sort of thing was looked down upon and it ended up that he and other Quakers bought the plot for Pennsylvania.
