What if Facebook Bought the Escapist?

I was wondering how everyone would react if the Escapist suddenly announced they were merging with Facebook.

Don't tempt faith, just don't.

Also if that happend I'd do some major destroying of this place and then leave...for ever, unless the messiah come.

Really, though, I like both Facebook and the Escapist just fine, but putting two things you like together doesn't have a good track record of turning out well for either party. It's like my several groups of friends whom I know would not get along well at all if I ever tried to invite them all to the same party.

I like facebook, and I like the Escapist, but the two wouldn't go well together, kind of like ketchup and ice cream, or Zakk Wylde and Reel Big Fish.

Well, that's where I came here from, it makes sense that I'll retreat to there...

It is a a small dimly lit room. There is a thud and the snap of a quick snap.

The room is similar to many but the same as none. On the floor lies a chair. It has been kicked on to it's side. Who has done such a thing? Just above the chair dangles a pair of legs. These legs are connected to the torso which is connected to the neck which, not only is connected to the head. The neck is also connected to a rope which in turn is connected to the ceiling. The victims neck is clearly broken. A laptop sits feet away. It is connected to the internet and currently displays a thread from the forums of a website called "The Escapist".

"The Escapist Portal > The Escapist Forums > The News Room

The Escapist Has Been Purchased By Facebook."

These words are displayed at the top of the screen.

Above the hanging corpse of the young man, there is a few words scratched into the wood of the arch he hangs from.

"Zepren was here"
