I think with a majority presence of females the internet would be different but not radically so. There would be less porn most likely, youtube would have more a mature user base (less toilet humor), and Xbox live would be much less popular.
WEEEE SEXIST BELIEFS ON MALE EMOTIONS. Girls can be and most likely are just as bad believe it or not.

OT:Meh, like users above me have said, less "Check out this (Insert dirty word for sexually promsicious and attractive women) get boned by some fat spanish guy with a huge one!" and more "Check out dis stud right har".

It'd probably be the same as it is now only in reverse order, for example now in games and such when males meet a female in an online game they are kind of amazed or something like that something they don't expect, it'd be just like that probably.

- The most visited websites would be Facebook, TMZ, and Perez Hilton
- The number of porn sites would be cut by 75% or more
- There would only be a handful of online-only gaming magazines

It would be slightly cleaner on the internet. But almost everything would be aimed for girls only. A lot of social networking and blogs and the such I guess.

more twilight fanfiction.
I resent this. Just because we're female doesn't mean we are any more averse to setting whatever monstrosity was responsible for creating it on fire than any male.

That's um... not possible. Sorry to burst your bubble.
At least, for me it is
Maybe not for you, but most of my female friends do things you'd never even think of. And my current girlfriend almost as well. Trust me, they act innocent--they're not. Only a few truly are, but a large majority are not. You'll find out in a few years.

Well I'm sure it'd be very different to what it is today, and I mean very different. Hell maybe even as to men needing 'men's rights.'

As many people have said before, there are already more women than men on the internet.

Newsflash guys. Get in the kitchen, and make your own damn sandwiches.

The obvious answer is that there would be a lot less porn, like maybe .1% of what there is right now. Then, I imagine if the majority of internet users were female, then the majority of gamers would be female, therefore the Escapist would change very little, with the exception of maybe ZP, as its pretty vulgar and is popular as it appeals to adolescent boys (or at least the adolescent boy in all of us).
Really? I always thought it was that black crevice in my heart called mr critic that does nothing but constantly complain about everything and generally has a hatred for most things on this planet. Watching ZP gives it that little buzz it needs every so often.

I was going to write a really long, angry post in response to most of the posts on here but I suppose I'd probably be accused of being on the rag or something.
It seems like a bit of a futile battle on this site.

So... Balls or GTFO.

I imagine a place where misogyny is at an all time low, and man hating is at an all time high. I thought our genders were designed to compliment one another, but I've seen a tremendous amount of hate from both sides on the internet. Only thing is since this is largely a boys club (at least the sites I frequent are), most of the hate is against women. So pretty much what I see now only more angry women than men.

I'd like to think the racism on things like XBL would be a bit better with women, at least that's my reactionary thinking at work, but in all honesty I've encountered just as much of that from women as men :/

I have no idea what to imagine, but experience has shown that aside from our apparent differences, behaviorally we're not all that dissimilar.

Yeah, I don't think there'd be a lot different. Maybe there'd be less "lol!1!1"-type posts and a lot less "faux-sexism because it's so witty!"-type posts. >_>;
We'd see a lot more emoticons.
The more life-scarring yaoi would be the new porn.
Grammar nazis would be less plentiful. We ladies tend to type better (I'm generalizing) and, from what I've seen, we don't care quite as much if you put the period outside of the quotation mark...
As far as websites themselves... well, look at it this way. Women already go to their areas of interest. We blend right in really (again, generalizing). And I disagree about the wit thing... I've seen some of really witty, funny women (Nostalgia Chick, anyone?). A lot of men are just more outright or elitist about it.
But what age demographic are we talking about? That really would make a big difference too. If it's as broad as it is now, we'd see few to no changes... but we young ladies aren't always interested in the same things as the older generation, so if, say, late 20's/early 30 year olds ruled the internet, then all those child development and home arts and crafts stuff would be even more plentiful than they already are. Normal moms are late twenties/early thirties, right? I have no idea. Bad, narrow example, but hopefully ya'll see my point.

I agree, my handwriting is absolutely terrible, I am left hand dominant as well (almost ambidextrous in the sense that I can write right handed but am not as experienced). I probably have the worst writing in my class (of 152).
