What if the first aliens we meet are exactly like us

How would you feel if the first contact we had we aliens was with a race that was exactly like humans, same colors, religions, countries, and issues.

Does this mean that there is another me on this world? In that case, would I have to kill him to establish myself as the dominant self? Would I then have 2 girlfriends, and therefore be a "player"?

That'd be really disappointing, and alot of people would be really bummed that they don't get to have sex with something blue. This begs the question of who's more advanced though, whoever found the other one first would be the more advanced ones. If it's them, then maybe they've cracked the human gene and they have psychic powers and can live to be 500, and if it's us... that'd still be disappointing.
