My guess is that it's not far off. I'm sure there are very humanoid looking "aliens" out there.
Hell, I'd even go as far as to say we are them, dropped off on earth as part of an experiment. I thought it sounded crazy too, until you look into it more.

Alas, we would probably go to war with them anyway, just for laughs.
