Yes this is who lady gaga used to be....I was honestly shocked to learn this,How did a pretty girl, with great ideas and songs become the Queen of Crazy....Any ideas or personal thoughts?Personally my jaw dropped and I was dumbstruck.

That wasn't terrible, but it was generic pop-punk. But it's still better than what she's releasing now, that's for sure.

That's Lady Gaga? No way! She has gone through quite a change since then...

So bland... so generic. So Avril Lavigne.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely dislike Gaga's music but at least it's sort of original.
Alright, disregard this, her current music is way worse.

Changed her hair colour, got rich/famous and grew a dick too, apparently.

hmmmm. i dont know quite what to say, she was raw then, but she has had a change in ideas... which i dont think is overly bad.. i mean are we forgetting that Gwen Stefani did the same thing by going solo and many others that dont come to mind at the moment??

its a persons choice to change and i personally think she is doing a good job.

Okay for some reason the videos aren't working for me but anyway. I saw her do a cover of D'yer Maker by Led Zeppelin before she was famous, it was pretty decent, sad that she couldn't be successful as a decent artist and had to turn into a generic, attention-whoring, all round shit artist to be successful.

Marketing.

Simple as that.

Madonna knew it in the 1980s, get outrageous, push buttons, be famous, sell records. It really is nothing new.

Personally I find it sad that popularity system works that way.

No argument here at all. But so long as the consumers buy in to it, I don't really blame people like Gaga from trying it.

The general public want a hook. that's it. As Stefani she didn't stick out, as Lady Gaga she gave them the hook and was remembered as a result. 9 times out of 10 people don't really care about the music so long as it fits the general pop mould and doesn't question what they are used to listening to. and in fairness to the girl, she can actually compose some catchy little melodies.

Music companies pay vast quantities of money to saturate radio and TV with an artist with a gimmick (be that hot, crazy of whatever) so that the music will subconsciously get wedged in the brain, and people will like that artist and buy their album

What confuses me the most is that her voice is pretty good in those videos, but as Lady Gaga she cant sing live, its bizarre!

sorry about the rant but this is what pisses me most off about the music industry.

People want a SHOW.

Shows bring money... no one sticks out in a sea of clowns wearing a suit and tie...

You need a GIANT clown costume.

As a normal girl she is nothing.
As a raving sexy obessed super star... well that is what the world wanted cause now she's worth millions.

Yep.
Sad indeed , but we can't blame her for doing her job.
