the Fabrique Nationale P90 is really cool gun. it's all futuristic-looking and it's very compact.

EDIT; also, my favorite handgun is the IMI Jericho (get it?), compact and chambered in .45 ACP.

mean gun.

Edit wrong thread stupid me and getting confused by multiple tabs!
I'd say a 22 beretta as it's piss easy to conceal. I could hide it behind one hand.

Best gun? I thought the NES' Zapper was pretty sweet (though the trigger spring was a bit loud, though very responsive.) No trigger guard meant lightning-fast response time for quick-drawing on malicious desperadoes and lack of recoil made it perfect for fast recovery when tracking a pair of pesky mallards.

AK47, hands down.
AK-108, because they made it better.
EDIT: Ah look at that it's a standard variant of the AK-107, well now I feel pretty stupid sorry
Nope I mean the Ak-108 the AK-107 is the same gun but chambered for the non-nato russian edition of 5.56.

Freaking Brown Bess Musket

Sure, it's old, unreliable and innacurate, but if you hit someone, DAMN are they hit.

To put it bluntly, children, a bullet "stabs" with its point, much like an arrow.

A musketball "punches", pushing fragmented bone out the back end and leaving a crater-shaped wound in place of a hole-shaped bullet wound

Leathal, if it hits

The best rifle ever made is an AK-47. It's simple, reliable, inexpensive, easy to maintain, and uses a widely available round. It won't win any target shooting competitions, but it's more than accurate enough to hit a man-sized target at any reasonable combat distance.

The best handgun is a Glock 21. It's also simple, reliable, relatively inexpensive, easy to maintain, and uses a widely available and powerful round (.45 ACP). It's also pretty damn light and compact considering its power and ammo capacity.

The best shotgun is a Remington 870 pump action for all of the exact same reasons as above.

Minigun.
(Nobody tells me what to do.)

But seriously, probably .44 magnum.
What's cooler than a revolver?
Not a goddamn thing.
Except for any other damned handgun (except for the Desert Eagle, they're overrated) , especially the Springfield .45 [http://www.gunshopfinder.com/springfield/PW9609L.jpg], the Colt .45 [http://www.dreadgazebo.com/gunporn/wp-content/uploads/2007/05/colt45-again.jpg], the H&K USP .45 [http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ms/a/af/HK_USP_45.jpg] and pretty much every Berreta pistol [http://wb4.itrademarket.com/pdimage/70/691870_kjw-berettam9-fullmetalbody.jpg]. Your stupid revolver with it's low magazine and massive kickback can leave the room now. Only "Dirty" Harry Callahan looks cool with that, everyone else looks like a giant douche.
Yes I have a pistol fetish, can you notice?

But you can't buy it for 3 chickens in Mogadishu.
Which is exactly why I also pick the AK. Sure a lot of guns may be technically better, but they're not as easy to get as the AK, which makes it the most widespread assault rifle out there. The fact that they're technically almost as good as most modern rifles, while being a crapload cheaper makes it the best weapon out there.

For long range its a toss up between the AS-50 and any of the Barrett .50 cal rifles. The AS-50 fires faster, but doesn't have the overwelming BOOM sound the Barretts do.

For in close, nothing matches the AA-12. Full auto shotgun that can fire mini-grenades, enough said.

Historically, the STG44, the true original assault rifle. Built early in the third Reich, it wasn't pu tinto full production untill late in WWII. The few that got them, loved them.

In badass-ness, The Deagle comes in second to the S&W 500. Both are .50 cal, but the S&W is a revolver.

ar-15 .
people who say ak-47 play to many games and think it can fire in mud, it might be able too but so can most modern day weapons, ak is not as good for long distance and can not hold a group as good good at a ar-15

I don't have a single one, but rather I have a top 3.

First, the M1 Garand.

The M16 (and variants)

And finally, the FN Five-Seven. It has scary power for a small caliber handgun.

Here's a vido of a Five-Seven hitting a target at range!

My honorable mentions are the Colt 1911 and the Ak-47. Keep in mind, the above are merely personal preference based on my experiences with the weapons. I have not had much range time with either an AK or a 1911.

The M1 Garand however, can be argued to be one of the best weapons EVER concieved.

+1 for P90

AUG is amazing, but the P90 is just better.

Yet, I wouldn't really want to fire a bullpup. You have a round chamber right on your ear
P90 all the way. Sure it chambers near your ear, but Bullpup gives you increased barrel length without a bigger gun. Also the P90 can be fired by us left-handed people so I won't get a face full of casings when shooting someone. Also Richard Dean Anderson uses one. Therefore it wins.

Is that the handgun that uses the same AP amunition as the P90 (well it did in MGS 4)? Because I do love that gun. Also the video won't work as embedding has been disabled.

Yes, it is. I LOVE mine. It has a 20+1 round capacity, can penetrate almost anything, has almost NO recoil, and is accurate up to 100 yards or so in the right hands. It is almost the perfect handgun!

I thought so. That would be the gun I would have if it wasn't extremely Illegal. I have a BB G36 though.

everyone saying the ak watches to many movies . i own one and i have a permit to keep it full auto. it is shit compared to other guns. Yes is can shoot after its been dropped in the mud, but just dont let your gun get in the mud, its not like all of you are in the military. clunky , horrible feel, shity sights, not good for long range.

H&K .45 USP Compact, the best Carry weapon created.

The stopping power of a .45 with lower weight and reduced recoil. I love mine and carry it daily.

As far as rifles go, I've never shot a Barret, so I can't comment on it, but I do love my R700 300 Win Mag. It could put a hole in an engine block.
