Sleeping during the day so I can work that night. I have no other plans for that day and don't really care too much for the holiday despite being a 'Murican.

This was the first time I ever heard your anthem. You guys really love your queen, don't you? o_O

Sit at home and play video games. Because really, if I was doing anything else I would spend the whole time wishing I could sit at home and play video games.

Why would I be doing anything specific on the Fourth of July? Are you trying to get personal details?

Wednesday? Nothing. I can inform you I will be doing nothing as it is just another date on the calendar for my country.

What's everyone doing for eisteddfod?
I expect "not much" as it's special occasion for my country only. 4th of July is just the same.

I am Pakistani so nothing but I am very angry about the US killing 24 Pakistani soldiers and then REFUSING TO APOLOGIZE while apologizing to Indian actor Shahrukh Khan for detaining him at an airport, like you do with normal Muslims(usually Pakistanis) every day and don't even think about it.
But if the British users are posting their National Anthem, I will post our unofficial National Anthem:

Heading to the beach to grill and drink Homeric amounts of alcohol. I will be drinking Samuel Adams and Natty Greene, in honor of the great men who helped us in getting rid of all the riffraff Loyalists in the Revolution. :)

My brothers and I have a tradition. On the 4th, we watch two quintessentially American movies: Quigley Down Under and Open Range.

Probably the same thing I am doing to day, sleeping, working, eating...
What so special about that day?

I feel Bill Bailey sufficiently explains why I dislike our anthem being about the queen:

I much prefer "Flower of Scotland". :)

Nothing. There's a burn ban in effect for my entire state, probably most of the country. No fireworks until we see some rain, which might not be until October.

Please don't start a shitstorm. We have enough of those on the escapist already. -.-

The words change to "King" when a king is on the throne.

A Hermit's Cave
Sleeping, commuting, praying the shit doesn't hit the fan at work... playing vidja games, eating.

Y'know... normal stuff... 'cos it's just a normal Wednesday... you colonials and your bizarre festivals! =P

Maybe that is his point... he knows the difference between a male and female monarch and wishes to demonstrate said knowledge. *shrug*

Nothing! Because I'm Canadian and the 4th of July doesn't mean anything to me. Now as for the 1st of July, I don't know yet. Haven't made any formal plans. Having no friends is a bit of a downer.
