The PS3 has dominated the European Market for the majority of the year, with about September being the end of its 'reign'.
Now tell me, what 'awesome games' came out for the ps3 between september 20th to Nov. 22nd?
Now compare that to the games for the 360?
I'm sure you'll see a nice correlation.
Of course, none of this has anything at all to do with the fact that alot of people were holding out on buying a PS3 for MGS4, a month earlier, and may have 'temporarilly' exausted the market in europe until another big name title comes out?
As for Japan,

Again, PS3 has dominated X360 almost every month this year.
ANd I'm sure those 'months' where 360 'beat' the ps3, had absolutely nothing to do with certain 'RPGs', nope, NOTHING AT ALL.
Also, the PSP isn't doing bad if you consider that Nintendo is the Microsoft of the hand held universe.

I'm sure if you were to toss in 'all' of sony's console products selling vs the 360 and xbox, Microsoft would 'still' come out the winner right?
As for the ps3, you have to remember, its a 'premium' product.
Its like a 32" Sony HDTV, vs a 32" Polaroid HDTV, which is going to sell more?
Does it matter if Polaroid sells more HDTV's then sony? When sony's selling theres for almost 4x the price?
Also,
360 sold approximately 6M units in there first year (according to vg charts.)
At this time the ps3 wasn't out yet, and the ps2 had sold roughly 13M that same year.

By the 360s second year, they also just barely sold 6M for there 2nd year. (Total of 12 Milliion)
The ps3, which JUST released, sold in there first year about 5M units. Just a million shy of 360s.
So recap,
Ps3 - 5M first year.
360 - 6m First year, 12m combined.
Totally different price brackets.
Now, PS3s second year they sold...
Damn near 10M Ps3s.
The 360 sold about...
Damn near 10M 360s.
So, we have 'this' year. The 360 and the PS3 selling nearly the same number of units (That year), and the 360 has been out for 3, and the ps3 for 2 years.
So, to recap.
The PS3 has sold Roughly 17M units in its 2 year life span, and the 360 has sold roughly 23M units in its life span.
If the PS3 is doing so bad, How are they keeping up with the 360, which has had ONE YEAR LONGER to sell units?!
The PS3 may not be doing very well in the United States, but it nearly always beating the 360 in Japan/Europe does add up.
And some of you guys will start yelling 'fanboi this' 'fanboi that', saying theres no reason we should 'care' about how well a game console company is doing...
If everyone followed that logic, Everyone would be buying the 'cheapest stock' in the market, and not give a rats ass about how 'good' or 'bad' there company is doing.
Lets face it, if you invest $600 in a console, you damn well hope its going to be worth a $600 investment, and continuingly bring you your money's worth.
