What is the best game you have bought that you knew nothing about

Dance Dance Revolution for the PS2

This was back in college. I decided to pick it up and the pad on a whim. I got it for cheap as it was one of the older incarnations of the game. Not only did I get hours of fun out of it, I did genuinely get a good workout out of it and lost a little weight.

Kingdom Hearts. I didn't know almost anything about it, but now Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are my 2 favorite games ever.

The Orange Box.All i saw was that it had TF2 and that was all i was interested in.Then TF2 became the second least played game.

Deus Ex. I bought a bargain-bin copy for $5. Best $5 I have ever spent.

katamari damacay(probly misspelled that) on the ps2,i now realize that got hooked by a quariky game about making stars out of a magical ball.I guess the reason that i love it and i do, is the fact that its the most orignal thing i've ever seen and if you have a ps2,psp, or xbox360 it would be a crime not to pick up any of the katamari games. That is IF u can find them.

Sins of a solar empire, I guess. Not my favourite game, but it was a pleasant surprise that it was good.

I got Wild ARMs 5 this way. All I knew about was that they brought the HEX battle system back. I never realized that they had not only improved on that, but they brought Mediums back (in a way). I also did not find out until after I bought it that...

the Knight Blazer costume could be unlocked. It was a great suit of armor, and during random battles, the Knight Blazer theme was playing(not the same one from WA2, but it was still great).

Spartan total Warrior. I went to Gamestop one day and saw it and thought "Spartans cool". I went home and Unleashed Hell on those Romans

Saints Row 2. All I heard about it was that it was a copy of GTA 4. It wasn't, not at all. It was actually way better and I loved playing it.

Final Fantasy Tactics. I recognized FF but hadn't heard of this particular spinoff before. Many years later, I still pat myself on the back for a wise choice.

Recently, I just bought Culdscept Saga because the combat system sounded interesting.

Needless to say, it is. Me and my buddies have been playing quite a bit.

Bioshock, went out to get a new game, my budd said he heard Bioshock was pretty cool so I said what the hell, turned out to be a fantastic game.

Shadow Hearts. Didn't know a thing about it other then it looked kinda awesome and it's an all time favourite of mine now.

I bought CoD4 a few months after it came out because I had heard good things and it was on sale. I hadn't seen the game in action at all before buying it. So far I have around 45 days playtime in the multiplayer. It was a good decision.
