What is the best RPG you have ever played

best RPG i ever played was Diablo 2 LoD. it was also the only one i cried over. Getting my first character ever, a Barbarian named Corlass, up to level 68 then, along with a level 24 necromancer, level 32 Sorceress with full Tal Rasha armor, and a level 28 Druid was very satisfying. i felt cool for the first time in months... then again who can be cool with that must time to waste. then when i got hacked an lost all of them, i cried and nearly ripped my computer apart so i could throw the disc and a passing ice cream man.

Yes Pokemon does count, and Crystal is one of the best RPGs i've played tbh... Oblivion was ok...

Final Fantasy 12 is the only thing that comes close in my opinion, the Pokemon Emerald was pretty good.

1. Icewind Dale 2(Is still on my system, and I play it every so often).
2. Baldurs Gate for starting it all off for me.
3. KOTOR for an awesome story.
4. Diablo 2 for click-fest awesomeness.

*And while M&L: Superstar Saga was great, the sequel Partners in Time was terrible in comparison. Why'd they take out bros. attacks and replace them with items? There was really no need to change that...

I am playing my way through the Enhanced version of The Witcher on PC. So far it is a very good game. Better than most RPG's that is for sure.

Playing Shin Megami Nocturne 2 now and it's a blast, from games I've beat, have to say FFX, even though I'm sure people will disagree with me.

I would have to say Phantasy Star 4 is my favorite (we need a PS5 and less PSO) but the best...?

Maybe Soul Blazer, its an action RPG that really stands out over all the ones I've played over the years.

That's a tough one.
