Three hints: It involved a bunch of enemies, a soul eating sword and the guy in my avatar.

Altema in Final Fantasy Tactics. Unlike almost every single other FF boss ever, she's not immune to status effects, and I found this out completely by accident. So I used Beowulf to spam Chicken until she started running away, then stole all her MP just to add insult to injury. And then I let the rest of my party just hit her until she keeled over.

I will confess to using certain exploits to defeat certain bosses in Demon's Souls, specifically:

-The False King (1-4)
-The Maneaters (3-2)
-The Old Hero (4-2)
-Old King Doran (1-1 Optional Boss)

In my defense, it was Demon's Souls.

In Fallout 3, there are 5 Super Mutant Behemoths, but you only ever get a fair 1-on-1 with two of them. The BoS more or less takes care of the on outside GNR, and the one in the Congressional Building can't reach you if you stay in the hallway. The last one is inside an electrified cage at a slavers camp, and if can manage to take out the slavers without damaging the power supply, you can just just fire at him from a safe distance.

Lastly, there's EVERYONE in Soul Calibur 4's Arcade mode, which, as Yatzhee also discovered, could be easily dispatch by throw-spamming.

Me and my friend were bored one day so we just loaded up my complete file in Bioshock and took turns making the final boss our *****. There is a way to kill him in under 25 seconds (Note you need the upgrade for the chemical thrower that lets you shoot for a long time). Switch to electric gel and blast the living hell out of him-Ignore other enemies and heal when nessecary.

Nes, Megaman.

You could shoot ANY boss. Hit start. As the boss animation of taking damage was shown, if paused durring would continue to take damage. Hit once, pause. Wait 20 seconds....dead boss. Lather rinse repeat.

In DA:O all of my team mates got killed by an ogre and at the time I was too low level to take it one-on-one. So I let him chase me around the Ostagar tower like Benny Hill stopping every few steps to take a cheap shot at him. Took forever, but it worked.

Apart from hiding in the wall to fight Crawmerax...

Probebly getting a Drake stuck behind a small wall while I wailed on him with Arrows in Dragon Age.

The good ol fashion fishing lure and ganondalf trick :p. Pull out the fishing lure and huck it, he watches the lure and leaves himself wide open. Works in OoT and Twilight Princess

Oh I got another one. 343 Guilty Spark in Halo 3. Killed him by shooting a laser at him 3 times. Cheap right?

*massive sarcasm*

Mine isn't a boss but it was really cheap.

In multiplayer Red Dead Redemption, I was in a gunfight with a friend at Las Hermanas. He told me he ran out of ammo and demanded we settle this in a fist fight (ingame of course), so we met in the courtyard of Las Hermanas and had a decent punch up. After he knocked me down a couple of times I pulled out my sawn-off shotgun and blasted him in the face.

In KOTOR when I was against Darth Malak (final boss) I was low on health so I just ran around the room and every once and a while I would use force lightning to take his health down a little. I did that for a little over an hour and finally killed him.

In KOTOR II when Kreia gets those stupid three floating lightsabers, I had them stuck behind a wall while I pelted Kreia with grenades.

In the first KOToR, on Taris, you can duel for money. I always had trouble with the double blade guy, until I stocked up before the fight and ran in circles alternatly planting mines and popping medpacs.

Or, you can destroy the generator with one well placed sniper shot from the cliffs, and allow the Behemoth to take care of the majority of the raiders for you, while you line up headsots on the all-too-easy to hit Behemoth.

Or, alternately, you can just knock him over repeatedly with brass knuckles.

MOOII building a fleet of ships with the time warp facilitator and phase cloak. Arm with torpedoes or hyper X weapons. For those that don't know Master of Orion 2. Time Warp Facilitator gives any ship equipped with it an extra turn every turn (so i get 2 turns then you get 1). Phase cloaking 100% phases out your ships if they spend a turn doing nothing. They remain phased until they act again. So 1st turn i move forward and fire torpedoes or hyper X weapons (both types have a 1 turn cooldown before they can fire again). Then i get another turn because of the time warp so i do nothing and thus phase out. Enemy's turn and they can't attack anything because its all phased out. Cycle repeats until all enemies are dead.

In Diablo 1, I would always kill the butcher by running into a room, closing the door behind me, and shooting him repeatedly through one of the openings in the wall.

It's amazing that he disembowels humans and puts them on meat hooks all over his room, but he just cleaves doors alone. Because it's so easy to kill him that way, I'd almost never meat him in combat.

Vampire the masquerade bloodlines: If you can't beat a strong chacracter just run around (if you can) till you regenerate enough and then shoot it some more.
