Courage the cowardly dog.

Simply put, I love the show - Horror, comedy, as well as being a massive nostalgia thing for me. No regrets with this one.

Ren And Stimpy.
That's from arnold. the WORST cartoon ever.
Maybe I sound stupid but what is Arnold, i've never heard of that show.
AN awful show I grew up with hating it as much I grew with courage loving it.

I presume you thought that was eustace, in fact it is gramps. so really, that made me chuckle a bit As i saw the worst thing to disgrace my eyeballs get mocked.'

I dont want to explain it, but I will explain with 5 reasons why it sucks

Art grains on your eyes guick.

Not funny.

Boring.

Character arcs never move forward. ever.

Nick (the one with the slime) thought it was good. which made it air in the first place. groan.

Seriously. I fucking HATE this show SO GODDAMN MUCH.

stupid footballhead.

Oh that show, yeah that one was pretty bad but ren & stimpy has been around a lot longer than it.

Hey Arnold!

There needs to be another movie (The Jungle Movie) of it. However I would like it to be more like a movie rather than an expanded tv episode.

Are you actually suggesting that Courage the Cowardly Dog had wondrous designs (ok maybe a little), was funny, unpredictable, and had character arcs?

Yeah now and again it was scary but once you realized the formula: Dog wins resting in Murial's lap and Eustace enduring some horrible fate and each new episode has no connection to the last, there is no need to follow the show. Hey Arnold! was cool because of it's colorful variety of relatable characters that would give as the illusion of an arc and would every once in a while have a terrifying moment of human depth. ((See: Arnold's Christmas and Arnold's Valentine))

True it would more than necessarily divulge into a moralizing lecture but I guess that this kid show had to compensated for the fact that some characters had terrible personality disorders and could actually say "crap" AKA Helga G. Pataki.

Just for perspective I only became a fan recently and I wish I had seen it sooner. So that why it's the best cartoon of all time so far.

Ok, I dont want to read through all the posts, but if you havent seen Akira, Ghost in the Shell or Ninja scroll you arent qualified to discuss this.

Samurai Jack is one of my personal favorites along with Samurai 7 which I can watch again and again. But Jack was first so Jack it is.

There is no such thing as the greatest cartoon of all time because everyone have different opinions.

But I think Tom and Jerry is pretty good. I could name hundreds of anime series but I don't think some people would agree with me.

Seriously though, it is far and away the best cartoon ever. South Park is a close second.

EDIT- and god dammit, how could I forget The Boondocks? HOW? It's just great.

It probably can't get better than Chuck Jone's magnum opus What's Opera, Doc?.
Probably the only cartoon on this thread that was inducted into the National Film Registry, as well as being voted by some of the Greatest animators in the world, Number 1 of 50 other entrants for "Best Animated Cartoon of All Time".
