Elfen Lied, why because it trys to pretend its this serious drama while giving people a sense of deepness too it.

Im not even going to attack the first seen with the naked murder going on.

You get naked mew on the beach, why mew? because thats the sound she makes, also its the sound a cat is supposed to make in japan *Mew = Meow, its an onomatopoeia type word* why does mental retardation do this to her I don't know. The writer thought to himself "hmm how can I pass this character off as innocent" and within one minute of getting clothes and getting off the beach, she looks down out her shirt curiously showing us a tit. It tries to hide its perversion and that to me makes it more perverted.

Besides he asked for perverted not weird, those that love (and I mean love) anime tend to quite enjoy widget, besides the tamer ones aren't that much worse than Monty Python or Douglas Adams.

Oh, I know that weird isn't necessarily perverted. But the ones on that particular list that WERE perverted would make compelling evidence, neh? I have a good number of anime series that I watch, but I also know just how deep that rabbit hole goes.

it (usually) isn't piss, it's simply worn, possibly sweat stained.
Second
they havn't been sold in vending machines for years and even when they did it was always considored pathetic and sad not to metion very fringe.

Well there are far too many I could name really eg Black Bible, Urotsukidoji just go onto wiki and type in ecchi if want a comprehensive list.. Also just because Japan does it with cartoons does mean that the West does not have equally fucked up and wierd things we just rather see actual people do it. Just see a Serbian film which I vow never to see nor do I recommend it. There is also a horror movie where a woman gives herself a clitorectomy.

Was that last one Antichrist by anychance? Yeah that was a messed up film but you have to give it credit. Its aim was to be psychologically disturbing and it manages it throughout the film.

Also literature is the really scary place if you know where to look. American Psycho, The Cement Garden and The Wasp Factory are all excellent books but really messed up and I know full well that in comparison to some stuff out there they're relatively tame.

Perviest anime I've seen though is either High School of the Dead or Needless. Both OK series ruined by the obsession with panty shots and massive boobs. Actual hentai though I'd suggest just sticking that into google images will give all the evidence needed.

I'm going to be completely Original (as someone already mentioned High school of the dead, Urotsukidoji and Bible Black) by saying Rosario+Vampire. That of which is literally just total fan service rapped around a shoddy plot (well it does have a good art style at least). I must admit though the manga does seem a lot better when compared to the god awful Anime.

Well thanks for the update on that, I heard it as a rumour some years ago and back in '08 I was backpacking, asked a couple of the japanese I bumped into if it was true and that was the answer I got.

Sorry if I came across as condescending it's just I've head that used as justification for racism,
Also I should point out I don't have first hand knowlege, But when I hear things like this I feel compelled to research, to show I'm not blindly defending the Japanese it was also a common practice to have the (legal in Japan but still) ofet school age girl turn up at the buyer's home to deliver them personaly(wait for it) by taking them off in front of him.
