After reading every post above this one (every...fraking...one) I see that I have much to learn in the Geeky ways.

OT: Talk to myself about the cultural and practical reasons for why EVE online ships are designed the way they are and how their designs must have emerged over time. (I said talk to myself...yeah, more psychotic than anything); I have a T-shirt from TeeFury with the word GEEK superimposing a geeky coat of arms; and girls are mythical creatures.

But the worst is probably when my roomates and I set up our own 4v4 Starcraft II team and played every night after work. We would then retire to the smoke pad and discuss the match afterward, how and where we could improve ourselves. Then we would go back up to our rooms and try again.

I don't know if it counts. But I sold my hair to pay for Portal 2.

Past that I'm not sure. Me and my best friend have weekly nerdathons where we sit in darkened rooms, play videogames and try to out nerd each other.

Edit: I also make a note of carrying my d20 around so I can pull it out at oportune moments and say "That's how I roll."

I AM DAVE! YOGNAUGHT, AND I HAVE THE BALLS at a shop owner.

just felt like doing it.
I salut you, Yognaught!

The nerdiest thing I have done would be that time when I had an 30 min time travel/Doctor Who discussion... with my English teacher :? That was pretty weird.

I don't think anything I've done since this incident can ever be more nerdy: bedroom roleplay featuring Doctor Who characters. Yeah... we went there.

I also have a tendency to insult poeple in (probably very inaccurate both in translation and pronunciation) Klingon. I'm not a Trekkie, I just love how Klingon sounds when you're shooting insults at someone.

A ton of things, a ton. I tend to quote proverbs from games, movies, and shows my other friends don't watch for fear of catching the loser virus.

It would have to be having a genuine desire to produce a FF1 fan film and put it on the internet. Script is going great......What's happening to me.

As mentioned in a few other posts, I saw someone listening to the YoGPoD on their iPod and I saluted them in a crowded area and said 'I am Dave!'
I got some weird looks.

Started playing Warhammer 40k... you know, the ACTUAL thing with little plastic dudes you paint ^_^
hey i just picked that up a few weeks ago myself! what army you playing as?

and that is probably the geekiest thing I've done to this date, i really gotta put more time into geeky ventures, im behind schedule!
I've started collecting the Tau ^_^ I started about 2-3 weeks ago. Ebay is wonderful :D although I do buy my paints and brushes from the proper store.
\\

FOR THE GREATER GOOD

I love tau. I love it when the opponent gets confused over wherever to go after the mobile part of my army (battlesuits/devilfish) or the hammer head broadside and fire warrior gun line.

Nerdiest thing Ive ever done was having a small party with 4 freinds when brawl was released for the first time
Or the time I stayed up two nights watching fma and deathnote

This other time I made my freind cry when I compared his writing to sailor moon fanfiction

During an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" I actually had to pause it just to correct a character when she labelled a cutlass as a broadsword. Sorry, but in NO WAY was that a broadsword, that was a fucking cutlass and everybody knows it!

Well, I recently embraced my true inner nerd, and I have a (not very nearly) full painted army of Warhammer. Namely, the Skaven.

I've also been gaming ever since I've been old enough to hold a controller. And I played WoW for 4 years, racked up about 2 months worth of play time over several characters.

Oh, and I'm also buying more manga than actual books. XD

I chose to spend a night of completing these missions on Guild Wars than spending that night out with my flatmate and his girlfriend at this nightclub (I pretty sure I would of met someone nice at that club since it was my type of places I would of went).

Being asked at an old workplace for a six digit code they can program into the security system so I can disarm it after hours and they'll know it's me. I told them 127001... then explained why I'd never forget it. I got some funny looks.
I've probably done nerdier things, I just can't remember them.

I consider myself very nerd / geeky but i didn't get this reference !

I once did a semester finals paper about the roleplaying elements of the interaction in WOW (my 7th semester of Aalborg University (DK)).

I made a video for a "Why did you choose this education?" which ended up being showcased at a digital art festival, held in an old salt-mine.
The video was about a man discussing the future of mankind, with a computer and ending up with the computer being persuaded to regard mankind as something not truly evil.

I once played almost a thousand levels of a turnbased tank game, with a friend, in a row (took the whole weekend)

Once wrote my own postscript file for win2k (well modified an existing postscript to include this specific printer-type).

Have developed 2 indie-games (as a project manager)

Exclusively played Pacman and "Kaptain Kaper" (Old Danish game) the first two years i had a PC at home (1990 / 1991)

Downloaded my first game ("Magic", two 1.44" disks) via BBS, through an 14.4 kbps modem, in 1992.

Have completed Germany Wing (Amiga) without resetting the machine (for some reason we couldnt save our progress). I think that was about 100 levels..

Have turned being a geek into my job, am now earning my keep as a video-producer / editor / publisher / cameraman at Aarhus University.

Very little roleplaying though...

Lots and lots more..

127001 = localhost

Never thought of using that for pin-code, but will definitely begin doing so. Good idea :)
