Red Alert 2, there is nothing better than mind-controling your enemys and recycling them as resources.

Well the oldest that I know the release date of is XCOM: UFO Defense, however I do have some very old RPG's like the Ultima series and I can't be bothered to google the release dates for them.

Every now and then I fire up Marathon (1994) again but it's been a while. Same could be said for doom. Right now I've just finished going through Jedi Knight and Jedi Outcast and I've started on Incubation. I'm also about to take on Battle Isle (what, '92?).

Failing that, I recently bought Archon Classic. Archon was awesome and that's what, 1985?

Dr Robotnics mean bean machine.

You can fucking buy it on steam. When I saw it I was like YESSSSSS.

Took me 6 months to complete only for it to tell me, "Now try hard mode".

Lego Island! 15 years old and still awesome.

Seriously this is probably the earliest passable version of a open world game.

If you grew up in the 90s and haven't heard of it your parents hated you.

Edit: I actually still play pong and pac man on my phone, but I still like my example of a modern 3d game, because otherwise everyone has a kickass 2d game they still play every so often.

...my...god...the memories. I-I think I still have lego Island somewhere...and the second one. (That I never finished.) I loved lego, I think the rock-raiders game was the best, that or Alpha team.

THE MEMORIES!

I still play Bubble Bobble from C64. And many other classic commodore games. They are beyond time.

I still play lots of NES and SNES games. I'd say they would be the oldest ones. I just finished Ghost Busters on the NES.

Aviator, BBC Micro.

1-bit colour, 320x256 resolution, line graphics, no hidden lines, flight simulator running in 32k of RAM with no hard drive.

It's not easy.

Do retro game collections for new consoles count? If so then the mega drive collection for the ps3 is the oldest game i'm playing now. If that doesnt count it is probably the original fallout for the pc.
