I can't see why a woman with clothes on would look better than a woman without, but whatever.
Depends on level, color, and aimed effect. Whichever part of her body you want to draw the most attention to, cover the other parts up.

Edit: What the Hell Capcha, you gave me letters with accents to do.....
If the word has accents you can be pretty sure its the word from the scanned book. Put anything you like in its place.

Because it looks damn sexy, and 'does the trick' for a lot of men.

Considered Google Image-ing a picture of a sweater-clad woman and a picture of a lingerie model for aesthetic comparison, but then I realised that wouldn't do wonders for my image if my parents happened to walk in.

It's personal taste. Sexually based behaviour is massively different from one person to the next.

If you don't like it, no point trying to understand it. It's like trying to understand suspension or anal: it's preference.

To tempt, titillate and transform. It gives a woman something to pose, sit or stand around in as a precursor to sex (or to show off a bit and then withhold it, their prerogative) when just being naked may make them feel innapropriate, or embarrased.

Its a cultural thing too. Cultures where the showing of any amount of naked female flesh is forbidden do not necessarily need such a tool as the mere act of undressing even the outermost garment will be tempting enough to drive the sexual expectation and appetite of their partner up. For example, devout Muslim couples get married without the men needing to know how big the women can make their cleavage appear or how good they look in a basque. In Western society, where women are free to wear crop tops, shorts the size of belts, high heels and bikinis, the amount of flesh on show all the time has reached a higher level and so the woman is looking for something to augment her assets and excite her partner while feeling sexy and beautiful at the same time.

It's like nice wrapping-paper; removal is ideally going to happen anyway, but it may as well look suggestive and alluring in the meantime.

There has never been a great demand for male lingerie, because there is a limited amount of things you can do with the male genitalia. There is a limited amount of anything you can do with something that looks like it's hanging out of the side of a shark's mouth.

I probably mangled that quote, but the message remains clear.

Because some people have convinced themselves that it's more attractive than either nudity, or full business casual. It's not.

Because the only thing sexier than nudity and sex, is the implication of nudity and the promise of sex.

At least, that's how I figure it works, but I'm not really the target audience of most lingerie models.

I feel like there's a serious bit being forgotten here. Yes, Lingerie implys a certain amount of ornamentation and aesthetics, but that is stacked on top of something even more fundamental: It fulfills the same function as underwear and prevents awkward breast-bouncing. There is a practical side to Lingerie.

What purpose does a plant have? To pretty up the place. Does everyone like plants? No. Does it give the feeling of something more than empty space? Yes. Does it generally just make things seem less boring? Yes. Is there a set quota on how many plants a person can have in a place? No, that's up to the individual, some people like no plants, others like a furking forest around their living room.

Believe it or not, that was all relevant.

Some women like it, others don't. I really don't get what the point of it. Please explain.
neither do i to be honest .... for some reason i find a girl in normal sleeping shorts and a shirt just hotter than ling ... it kinda gets rubby and annoying when you're making out with a girl wearing it

as for me ... my super weakness when it comes to girls ...... caps ... also i don't dislike feet but for some reason socks and caps just do it for me XD

i guess it would depend on the person, if a girl feels more confident and better about herself in "sexy wear" then she will probably go for it hoping it turns you on (odds are, it might) but i personally think it's every guys duty to make his girl feel like a million quid whatever she's wearing
