Hitting a chicken with a sword.... until it summoned a swarm of chickens to kill me. Or that one time it turned me into a chicken... that was cool.

I don't know if this counts as stupid but I discovered that in the first kingdom hearts you can get through all of the gummi ship segments without ever upgrading your ship and not moving. all you have to do is hold down the fire button the whole time. it NEVER FAILS.
I took out an entire room filled with armed mooks in Arkham City by doing inverted takedowns on top of one gargoyle. I just grabbed one, dangled him from the gargoyle, jumped to another goyle, waited for the enemies to surround their dangling friend, chopped him down with a batarang, then rinsed and repeated.

Arkham City. Unlocked and had access to almost every combat ability in the game, AND I COMPLETELY FORGOT I HAD THEM!!!!

Battle Field 2, and again BF2142.
Basically I would drive a transport vehicle way out to the corners of a map. Literally a 5 minute walk or so to get back to the action. There was always a reason for going out there, like chasing the enemy or something like that.
Anyway, I had a VERY bad habit of flipping the transport vehicles on small bumps in the map. When you do this, the transport blows up.
Best case scenario, everyone got out of the transport in time, but then we ALL still have a 5 minute walk back. Worse case, everyone is so damn dumbfounded about how I flipped the transport, that they all forget to get out and die.
Seriously, I did this like a dozen times. I was a great driver...except for those little bumps that somehow manage to flip my transport.
