What is the weirdest anime you have ever seen?

*Grin* The DVD menu of the first movie actually questions your existence. Death and Rebirth, and End of Evangelion were seriously nuts. On the other hand, has anyone started watching the Rebuild series? A little less of the character development or screaming despair, though they're still there, but whole new levels of awesome for the Angel fights.

Kinda OT: And, you know how the Angels' designs were really quite bizarre in the series? Leliel (freaky sphere/shadow), Armisael (Helix/mergy thing) or Arael (Hallelujah-chorus-mind-raper), for example? Technology has moved on now, and they're now just utterly out of this world. Especially Sahaqiel (the orbiting bomb), which ... um ... I can't describe. It's that weird.

Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, hands down. And there is two series' of this!

Calumon: There was this one about a boy who walks and walks and stops to pretend to fight with a blue haired man and a red haired woman every episode and ends up getting no where. I forgot it's name.

Based on that opening, that's got to be the weirdest thing I've ever seen! My immediate thoughts are it's like Excel Saga and Elfen Lied got high and had a child, then forcefed it Richard Garriot- and moe-extract for an extended period of time before unleashing it on the world...

My reasoning for why is that some of my friends got into watching it so they introduced it to me. since I was the only one in my house that knew anything about computers their was no internet content blocker to stop me, and I also have horribly poor impulse control which led to me seeing a lot of thing I really never should have seen.

It only has two episodes, but what the fuck, it makes very little sense, and is just one random gag, after another. And yet it was still fun to watch.

Also Pani Poni Dash, a cat who lives in a vending machine, who says he's god. Awesome.

The coolest anime I've ever seen is also the weirdest anime I've ever seen. And that is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni. It is the heavily edited down question arcs of a VN, and makes absolutely no sense at all on its own. And there's no sign that the answer arcs will ever be (as poorly) animated to complete it. It's predecessor series is my all time favourite though.

that is a Red Truth, sadly. (also,if you read EP 5 and 6, you can see that it becomes God Tier, with even some horror innit imo)
