Mass Effect 2 - Paragon and Renegade for certain major plot points. No matter how much you may want to do it, unless you have the higher points.. blegh!

Final Fantasy XIII - Fucking. Boss. HP. That speaks for itself, I think.

KOTOR: I hate how enemies tend to respawn on the last level and you usually can't advance until you've killed all of them. Also I hate how quickly you can breeze through Korriban. That's my favorite level in the game and it seems to end so quickly.
my favorite game as well. my biggest complaint is the level cap. I always maxed out around the start of the world you land on right before you get to go fight malek. I dont remember what it was called sorry.
Rakata Prime is the name you are looking for. *nod*

..And I agree with the level cap thing. Then again, I've played through that game so many times I can't die. As soon as I get my endgame dual lightsabers OR doublebladed lightsaber and Mastery Dual Wield feat, I'm God.

In Majora's Mask the animations for Link putting on a transformation mask always bothered me. They seemed really cheesy and out of place(Especially the Goron one) so I always skipped them. Also following the Deku Butler to get the...I think it was the Mask of Scents; everyone said to use the Deku form, but I just rolled Hylian Link and I ended up making it there faster, but just barely...

Dragon Age Origins...tough, maybe some difficulty spikes here and there, and how my experience w/ Awakening, GoA and Witch Hunt was ruined because I was so overleveled (I think that might be Awakening's fault though, you net exp. in that game like you're holding a lucky egg, points if you get the reference)

Just as the title says what is (in your opinion) the worst thing about your favorite game (or just any game really)? For me, I hate how quickly engineers can upgrade their sentries in TF2. Almost all the time as soon as I get in the enemy base at the start of a game to steal the intel their is already a fully upgraded sentry ready to one shot my pyro. I really think they should make the sentries upgrade after a couple kills rather than just getting metal and upgrading them cause engies always build near the restock room to get more metal easily.
that would be a really good idea for an alternate sentry (one that levels up with kills rather than metal, metal just repairs it). seriously, send the idea to Valve man! that could totally get in the game!

Pokemon: "X is confused! ... It hurt itself in its confusion!"
Red Dead Redemption: some of the more annoying glitches (I had to do that Javier Escuela chase like 3 times before I did it "right")
TF2: when no one wants to go Engie on defense, but EVERYONE goes Engie (of course, not Gnslinger mind you) on offense. then they ask why we keep dying
AVP: no one is online anymore... shame, as the swarm and infestation modes were really fun

Two things for Mass Effect 2.

Number one is the god awful resource mining, how anyone could think launching a probe, waiting 5 seconds, then launching another probe is fun is beyond me. It's boring, and I pity the people who don't import a saved game with free resources.

The second thing is that you have to go all the way renegade or all the way paragon if you want to solve the crew disputes. Maybe you feel like being a jerk about one thing while being nice about another. Well if you do that then you won't have a maxed out paragon bar and you'll lose the loyalty of Mirande when her and Jack get into it. In ME3 i'd like to have the options enabled from the get go, having to work towards being persuasive in a game as dialogue heavy as Mass Effect feels redundant. I liked the morality bit in Dragon Age a lot more.
That take on 'morality' is ridiculous.
'You selected dialogue option A over dialogue option B. Woo +5 Paragon points!
Now do the same damn thing for the rest of the entire game or you get a shitty ending!'

I agree with your last statement, all this does is block parts of the game whilst making it look like the devs have some really mature and clever take on morality. I loved Dragon Age because the moral aspect of it is much, much less obvious but still influences the game hugely, and often what you actually do in game is what counts, not cheery little dialogue wheels with the same options selected many times over.

OT:
Stalker Call of Pripyat -
The city of Pripyat was just....hollow. There's an anomaly field here, an enemy patrol there and a pack of mutant dogs down there. That's about it though, its pretty lame for the thing you've been pretty much working towards for the whole game.

That 9a level in HL2 where you have to stand off against waves of combine. I hate games where you have to survive for x amount of time.

Pathologic/The Void: Too god damn hard. Also not fun (still my favorite games of all time EVER!). Oh, and they are made by the same people.

Thief series: Thief 3. Alright, the loading times and how small are the areas in T3.

Grim Fandango: For most of the solutions either you have to guess or to look at a walkthrough.

Beyond Good and Evil: A goddamn bug which makes the keycard go underground and cannot reach it. The only reason why I haven't beaten the game actually...

Max Payne 2: Cannot make it run decently on Windows 7

GTA Vice City: The mission where you need to rescue Vance from a gang (haitians? Cannot remember).

Prince of Persia the Sands of Time: The goddamn combat.

Prince of Persia Warrior Within: Mostly the story, but apart from that it's my favorite PoP game...

The Path: The game controls.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines: The gunplay and some bugs.

Metal Gear Solid 2: A bad PC port overall, but fortunately not the worst. Still playable though, simply not the best.

GTA IV

Since blind fire has the same accuracy as popping out of cover, the cover-based shooting was too easy

Also the "Kill them or Not" moral choices of the game were unnecessary and didn't have an impact on the main story (except the last one).

Super Mario 64.

...

The camera is sometimes not great?
That is quite the understatement.

OT: Freelancer. Lack of a dynamic economy system and changing politics. Whatever, its still good enough for me XD

Fallout New Vegas. Just try and guess what I think is the worse aspect. If it isn't obvious to those who've played it, I don't even know what to think anymore...

Baldur's Gate, the problem is it is quite old now and about 90% of the dialog is in text form only so it becomes quite a chore talking to people because some of them will have a whole book of dialog.

Half Life 1, again the engine is very dated, and the Black Mesa project(fan remake of HL1 on HL2 engine) doesn't seem to be going anywhere
Half Life 2, too damn short, come on Valve you got enough money from Steam so screw the L4D money printer and finish Episode 3

Assassins Creed Brotherhood: DESMOND. GTFO, I wanna assassinate noobs. Although that wasn't too fun in this game either...

The first part where you are doing a platforming level with Desmond and that chick is godawful, it is like Uncharted 2 but with the goodness.

Chrono Trigger. It has sadly gotten too easy for me. I have been having to come up with self imposed challenges in order to make it hard again. Either way it is still really fun and all but still...

for Mass effect 2 its the moral decisions, they turn it into a way to get points, theres no reason not to go for the paragon/renegade option and the game punishes you for not ridgedly sticking to eather one or the other regardless of what you actually think plkus it takes any real thourght out of it, you can mix it up a little though it makes comander shepard look like she has bi-polar
That's the point. Making a 180 half-way through or near the end takes away the immersion. Besides there are still other options to take.

I have another Problem with Mass Effect 2 though. Most decisions you make in the first game don't exactly create a fork in the road for you in the sequel.
well you dont know that for sure

anyway yeah there are plently of options but I just get the feeling the game is punishing you if you dont go for blue or red

plus its impossible not to do the renegade interupts

I thourght half life 2 was a decent length (and I like long games), but I dont like the episode structure and Id feel a little annoyed having waited all this time for a 4-6 hour game (that is if it ever happens)
