Playing Morrowind on the PC. I modded the acrobatics to "90000000000000000000000000000000000"

The game stopped, the computer got blue screen of death, and now the computer hasn't worked since. Lucky for me I was on a friends PC.

That's why modding is BAD. =P

Wait, people actually played Renegade? I thought I was the only one. Such a derivative game.

Also, I'm in with the "yay, no more memory cards" crowd. Actually having to decide whether or not to save a game? Paying for the privilege to do so? Limited saves? Absurdity. That's why I've always liked PC gaming more.

When I was about 14, I was around halfway through the Allied campaign on Command and Conquer: Yuri's Revenge when the game locked up to the tune of a nasty grinding sound, and the disk drive wouldn't open. Got the drive out to try and save the disk, and it came out in some 30 or 40 pieces.

Funny now I look back on it but it wasn't at the time..
That happened to me aswell.

Saved wile stuck in a glich without a back up save file :(. I did that right after I got through my least favorite part of a game and had to start overfram the begining.
Got stuck in the infamous Twilight Princess glitch where you can't get out... it was my only save, I had to go back and do the whole game again... this was before i discovered game saves on teh interwebs

I just got to the second town in Jade Empire and the damn thing froze. I tried booting it back up again about 20 times to no avail, it always froze after a few steps. I never did beat that game.

When I was 7, I was playing FF7. I wasn't very good at games back then so don't laugh. After many attempts of trying to get past the first ten minutes I saved my game, only to go on it later and find that my memory card wiped itself.

When I got TRUnderworld on my Wii (free game) I was on the second level and stuck right at the end, even my dad didn't have a clue and usually he's good at things like that, so I went to look for some help and found out the Wii version sometimes glitches at the end of that level and you can't get past it. I didn't have any other saves and had to restart.

And then on Fable 2, I just defeated the big spire thing when you come out of Whoretown, and before it could save, Xbox crashed !_!

I haven't had many glitches, myself, but a few of my games have frozen before, like Tales of the Abyss when I tried to cast Indignation whilst fighting Sync. It worked once we reloaded it.

However, one of the worst ones I've done was when I saved over my Tales of Symphonia save with one which had started at the beginning. At the time, my own lack of skill prevented me from passing Kvar on the new save.

Yeah, Tales of games tend to fuck with me a bit.

My sister's PS3's (she bought it mostly for the blu-ray & guitar hero :p) disc drive broke while I was loading up the first level of Valkyria Chronicles after begging her to borrow it. That was awkward.

the reason is that this value is larger than a 32 bit interger.

Power outage while saving a game. You know, that part where it says "Do not remove the memory card or touch the power button."

This happened to me on several occasions while playing various games on my PS1. Without having saved in a long while because I usually don't until I'm done playing, my cat, who at the time seemed hell bent on screwing me over at every possible moment, would waltz into my room, run over, and step on the reset button, no matter where I put the PS1.

something very similar in Warlord Battlecry 3. Saved durring a campaign just before hitting "1", to warp to my unit "1", which was my Retinue guy up to level 10. He had just a bit of HP left and I thought, "oh he's strong, he can take on those two up north, then I can pull him back and he can heal." he died so I loaded my save, only to find out that the randomize hated me, and the hit he took that didn't kill him "just before I saved", honestly the millisecond after I saved, decided to be a critical after reload.. so he died.. so I reloaded and it happened again, and again and again... the hit was 'saved' as a critical against him somehow.. so I lost him permanently...

also in RE: Code Veronica X, got all the way to antartica, near the end of the game when it glitched up and froze on me (irony right? in the ice level.. anyway..), but the data file also became corrupt and I lost all my progress.. I didn't play any more after that, didn't want to play from the beginning again.
