If Ichigo's powers are half Shinigami and half hallow; people are genetically half of their father and half of their mother, and Ichigo's father is a high leveled shinigami...

what does that make his mother?

Uh, I do not think that is how genetics works. You do not get half of your mother's and father's genes. That is true of the DNA, but not genes.

You realize DNA is the carrying medium for genes, right?
More than that, it isn't true of DNA, but it IS true of genes: You get half your chromosomes from each parent. As chromosomes are the large scale DNA structures, they hold genes. This means you get half of your genes from each parent.

However, the chromosomes you inherit are different sizes, which means you do not get an equal amount of DNA from each.

You essentially got the entire thing reversed.

His dad has a fake body much like the one Rukia had at the start of the show.

Hollow and Soul reaper powers are in everyone just when they die they go to Soul society and can enlist as Shinigami or if they had strong earthly attachments when they die the chain that connected them to there body keeps their soul's tethered to earth if they remain chained for to long the negative emotions corrode the chain destroying their heart (which is why all hollows original had holes in their upper chest where the chain was linked to the heart but i guess that got thrown out the window).

Ichigo gained his hollow powers because when uhara wanted to get him his soul reaper powers back he destroyed his soul chain forcing him to tap into his (now sealed by byakuya) soul reaper powers as an act of survival the unintentional ( or was it ?) side effect was that ichigo's soul was corrupted a split from just being just Zangetsu to Zangetsu and His hollow form (who are described as two sides of the same coin).

Whether genetics are any part of it is only hinted at as ichigo could see ghosts already as could his sister it may be true however that may be because they spent time around their dad who is a spiritual entity much like chad and orihime gained ability's after being attacked by hollows.

Being able to see ghosts, or sense spiritual pressure is more an indicator of how much spiritual pressure a person has themselves. It does tend to run in families, but doesn't seem to have a direct relation per say.

Hes half hollow and half shinigami, because when he finally got his own shinigami powers, at that same instant he also became a hollow...hence the mas AND the sword when he came out of the pit. That's why he's not even the same as a vaizard, and why he has TWO beings inside of him: Zangetsu and the hollow Ichigo. WHAT I'm saying is that, unlike the Vaizards, he gained both powers at the EXACT same time.
As for his mother, I haven't been reading the manga, but I personally suspect that she may have been an upperclass shinigami, and that that is why his father fled to the human world, Karakura town specifically....if you didn't know, that town has a high amount of spirit energy, which is why that's where shit always hits the fan lol.

He's the same as the Vizard. If you remember the scenes when Aizen made the Vizard, it has the exact same disordered hollow transformation.

The only difference is the technique used to achieve the same end result, and it is implied the Vizard also have hollows inside them AND zanpakto spirits, same as Ichigo.

Implied doesn't = certainty, but you could be right. Guess we'll have to keep following the series to be sure lol
