My favorite tends to shift around, so I'll say competition between Haruhi S1 and GTO.

My favorite anime is a hard call between Cowboy Bebop and Pretear.

Brilliant nonlinear plot, lovable ensemble cast, beautiful animation, and one of the best damn opening tunes I've ever heard this side of Bebop.
And then they have the weird OVA that changed a lot of the tone, but hey.
LiberalSquirrel said:Great to see another Baccano! fan. That's definitely one of my favorites as well. And... yeah, that opening is awesome.
Some other favorites of mine are Yu Yu Hakusho (it's what got me into anime in the first place) and Gankutsuou (which is an absolutely amazing retelling of "The Count of Monte Cristo").

Darker than Black and OHC are close seconds.
While looking through the list, I was half in tears that no-one said Baccano! until page 3.Troublesome Lagomorph said:I can't pick just one...
So it would be: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Bakemonogatari, Spice and Wolf, Cowboy Bebop and Baccano!
I have all the episodes of Haruhi, I just haven't gotten around to watching them yet. I have a lot of anime I haven't watched yet, just sitting there waiting for me to find the time.dudeman0001 said:I'm torn between FLCL and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
I don't know anyone who watches Haruhi

Okay, so Baccano! is really that good? I might have to try it after all then. I dunno, reading the Wikipedia page for it, it doesn't sound that interesting, and Prohibition-era US is a setting I really don't care for at all... Is it really worth trying out?pyramid head grape said:While looking through the list, I was half in tears that no-one said Baccano! until page 3.
Until I watched Baccano! I really didn't think too much on what my favourite really was, but Baccano! just blew my mind.
I am not waiting for the Blu ray to be released for my region![]()

Its more than what it seems to be. So yes, its worth a shot.lithium.jelly said:snip
