The Sailor Moon manga is my absolute favorite manga to this day, but I'm not so much a fan of the anime.

My favorite anime is a hard call between Cowboy Bebop and Pretear.
I have the Pretear boxset! :3 And I agree as well. I started reading the Sailor Moon manga again. Lol.
They're rereleasing the updated, expanded edition of the Sailor Moon manga starting in September. I am SO stoked!
Woooo!!! :D I'm super stoked too! Heard something about it but I didn't think it was really happening! Definitely going to have to watch out for that! :D

Easily Baccano! I watched it on whim and never stopped. Watch it. NOW.

It has to be Baccano!

Brilliant nonlinear plot, lovable ensemble cast, beautiful animation, and one of the best damn opening tunes I've ever heard this side of Bebop.

And then they have the weird OVA that changed a lot of the tone, but hey.

Great to see another Baccano! fan. That's definitely one of my favorites as well. And... yeah, that opening is awesome.

Some other favorites of mine are Yu Yu Hakusho (it's what got me into anime in the first place) and Gankutsuou (which is an absolutely amazing retelling of "The Count of Monte Cristo").

Darker than Black and OHC are close seconds.

I can't pick just one...
So it would be: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Bakemonogatari, Spice and Wolf, Cowboy Bebop and Baccano!
While looking through the list, I was half in tears that no-one said Baccano! until page 3.

Until I watched Baccano! I really didn't think too much on what my favourite really was, but Baccano! just blew my mind.

I am waiting for the Blu ray to be released for my region :D

@LiberalSquirrel: Gotta love the intro

I'm torn between FLCL and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
I don't know anyone who watches Haruhi
I have all the episodes of Haruhi, I just haven't gotten around to watching them yet. I have a lot of anime I haven't watched yet, just sitting there waiting for me to find the time.

Well, I've got a lot, so...

Number 1 would have to be One Piece. Longest show I even watch anymore, great plot and amazing cast. Keeps me guessing and has tons of dramatic fight scenes to boot.

For the smaller stuff: Baccano and Durarara!! are both amazing in my book, for similar and yet totally different reasons :p

I also always like the calmer, less frantic anime from time to time so there's Ergo Proxy, xxxHolic, and Jigoku Shoujo, but only in small incriments.

and, oh yeah:

I. friggin. love. this. show. Muushishi. Watch it. Read it. Ginko is downright awesome :D

Probably Busou Renkin.

Either that, or Code Geass, it's a real close difference.

Both of them are amazing. Although I have to admit, I got a real good kick out of Highschool of the Dead when I watched it. It was a great anime if you need a laugh. They mocked themselves to great effect.

Okay, so Baccano! is really that good? I might have to try it after all then. I dunno, reading the Wikipedia page for it, it doesn't sound that interesting, and Prohibition-era US is a setting I really don't care for at all... Is it really worth trying out?

My my it was the most interesting show I ever watched when I was younger. I never fully understood it either. Wasn't until last year when I went through it again I got everything. Cept for the last episode when all the new characters come in. But I think they're from the game. Never dug into it.

That is really, really hard.

For me it would probably be a tossup between Welcome To The NHK, Paranoia Agent and Baccano!.
